Pascal Dupuis tallied two goals as the Penguins routed the Islanders 5-0 in the first game of their first-round series on Wednesday night.

The offensive onslaught was on for the Penguins in this one, and it began 3:30 in when rookie Beau Bennett scored on the power play. Dupuis, who had five goals against the Isles in the regular season, would follow 10 minutes later with his first, then scored 22 seconds after Kris Letang's marker early in the second period. Tanner Glass ended the scoring with his first career playoff goal. Evgeni Malkin, Jarome Iginla and Jussi Jokinen each had two assists apiece. The Isles caused the game to get a little chippy at the end, so fantasy owners get rewarded with 10 penalty minutes from Dupuis and Iginla. Douglas Murray also had 12 minutes. Pittsburgh played a little defense, too, with Mark Eaton recording a whopping eight blocked shots.

Adam Cracknell scored a hat trick in Friday's 6-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Well, no one could have predicted this kind of production from Cracknell. The Stars forward gave his team 1-0, 4-0, 5-1 leads in tonight's victory. He finished the game with a plus-3 rating and five shots on goal in just 11:35 of ice time. He has 10 goals and five assists in 61 games. Tonight's offensive outburst won't change the fact that he doesn't have any value in most fantasy leagues. Brett Ritchie, Jamie Benn and John Klingberg also scored for the Stars.

Nikita Kucherov scored a goal and an assist in Friday's 2-1 OT win over the Detroit Red Wings.

The Lightning forward simply can't be stopped. He scored three goals in last night's win over the Bruins and he's now recorded four multi-point games in a row. Tonight, Kucherov picked up the primary assist on Ondrej Palat's game-tying goal in the third period before scoring the game-winner at the 3:28 mark of overtime. The Russian sniper has 38 goals and 40 assists in 67 games this season. He continues to be one of the best players in the NHL.
Mar 24 - 10:43 PM

John Tavares picked up a pair of assists in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins.

He also scored the game-winning goal in the shootout. Tavares netted both of his assists in the second period, as he helped set up goals by Anders Lee and Casey Cizikas. Tavares finished the game with a plus-2 rating, four shots on goal and one hit in 21:20 of ice time. The Islanders captain is now riding a five-game point streak and he's picked up at least one point in nine of his last 10. Tavares has 27 goals and 37 assists in 73 games.

Dustin Byfuglien won't play against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.

He hit the ice for the pre-game warmup, but he obviously wasn't feeling good enough to suit up. Byfgulien left Thursday's game against Los Angeles after he collided with Jeff Carter. We'll consider him day-to-day for now.
