Todd Bertuzzi will play in his first game since Feb. 7 in Game 2 against Anaheim Thursday night.

The veteran winger was cleared to return just last week after suffering through back issues and nerve pain in his right leg. Bertuzzi is slated to join Cory Emmerton and Patrick Eaves on the fourth line. His presence in the lineup will put Jordin Tootoo in the press box as a healthy scratch.

David Desharnais isn't travel with the Canadiens to Tampa Bay due to the flu.

Desharnais was also a late scratch on Sunday because of the illness. While this isn't great news, it's important to emphasis that Montreal's next game against the Lightning is scheduled for Wednesday, so it's entirely possible that Desharnais will still meet up with the team before that contest. If he can't play though, Brian Flynn will probably stay in the lineup.

Patrick Kane became the 91st player to record 100 career playoff points.

Kane is actually at 101 points in 101 games after scoring two goals in Chicago's 4-1 win on Sunday. He's just 26 years old, but throughout his career he's been an offensive force for Chicago in the postseason. If Chicago is able to eliminate Minnesota after taking a 2-0 series lead, then it will be the fifth time that the Blackhawks have advanced to at least the Western Conference Final in the last seven years.

Corey Perry picked up two assists in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Calgary Flames.

The Ducks now have a commanding 2-0 lead in the series and they won both games in impressive fashion. Perry's great postseason run continues. The 29-year-old picked up a pair of primary assists on goals from Hampus Lindholm and Nate Thompson. Perry now has 13 points in the 2015 playoffs, which leads all skaters. The Ducks are a perfect 6-0 in the playoffs, as they swept through Winnipeg in the first round and are taking care of Calgary so far in the second.

Patrick Kane scored a pair of goals in Chicago's 4-1 win over Minnesota on Sunday night.

Kane finished the night with an impressive stat line of two goals, a plus-2 rating, and four shots on goal. His goal with 20 seconds remaining in the first period extended Chicago's lead to 2-0, while his second goal was put into an empty net. The 26-year-old now has five goals and 10 points in eight playoff games in 2015. Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp also scored for the Blackhawks, who now lead their best-of-seven series 2-0.

Steven Stamkos had a goal and two assists in Tampa’s 6-2 win over Montreal.

Stamkos’ second period goal gave Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead in the game. The Lightning sniper also helped set up both of Nikita Kucherov’s power play goals later on in the game. It took Stamkos nine playoff games to get on the board, but tonight’s effort was definitely encouraging for his playoff fantasy owners. It will be interesting to see if Stamkos can string together a few productive games in a row because he is clearly dealing with a left hand injury. Tampa Bay now leads the best-of-seven series 2-0.

It's difficult to tell how much progress he's making, but Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano was involved in practice on Saturday.

He only engaged in limited contact, yet even being a part of it is an intriguing development for a defenseman many labelled as a no-brainer Norris winner had he stayed healthy in the 2014-15 season. There's a long way to go, but players frequently fight through injuries in the playoffs, so you never know.
May 2 - 4:04 PM

Alex Ovechkin gave the New York Rangers all they could handle in Game 2, yet the Washington Capitals ultimately fell 3-2, leaving the series tied at 1-1.

Ovechkin scored a sensational goal to give Washington a chance to tie the game. Overall, he had four SOG and nine hits during a very busy 19:49 TOI. He has been involved in three of the Capitals' four goals so far in this series.
May 2 - 3:33 PM

Henrik Lundqvist looked sharp as the New York Rangers evened their second-round series at 1-1 with a 3-2 win against the Washington Capitals on Saturday.

Lundqvist made some great saves, stopping 30 out of 32 overall in Game 2. His save percentage on Saturday (.938) actually matches his output so far in the postseason, as he's 5-2-0 so far. It won't be easy going into Washington with a tied series, though.
May 2 - 3:31 PM

Chris Kreider is proving to be a thorn in the side of opponents as the New York Rangers edged the Washington Capitals 3-2 in Game 2 to tie the series at 2-2.

Kreider scored one goal, took three SOG and delivered four hits on Saturday. Considering his run-in with Braden Holtby in Game 1, he's making some enemies in Washington.
May 2 - 3:28 PM

It appears as if the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers will stick with their Game 1 lineups in Game 2.

This is sensible since the game was less than two seconds away from going into overtime. You can feel comfortable with the mixes you had going into Saturday, then.
May 2 - 12:28 PM

Nikita Kucherov scored the game-winning goal in the second period of overtime in Friday's 2-1 win over Montreal.

Habs rookie defenseman Greg Pateryn coughed up the puck to Valtteri Filppula, who then set up Kucherov for the winner. The 21-year-old was very dangerous in the overtime periods, as he also had a goal waved off in the first of the two extra frames. This is a huge win for the Lightning after they came into this match just two days removed from a game seven win against Detroit (Montreal had five days off). Kucherov's goal was his first of the playoffs. He now has five points in eight games this postseason. The Lightning lead the best-of-seven series 1-0.
