Matt Greene (undisclosed injury) could return to the Los Angeles Kings for their playoff game against the St. Louis Blues tonight.

The Kings lost the first two games of this series in St. Louis. But when the series moves to LA tonight, Greene could make a difference if he`s in the lineup. Greene was among the dozen Kings who skated at a practice Friday. "Everybody that was out skating (Friday) is possible playing (tonight),`Kings coach Darryl Sutter said. We'll see how it is in the morning and go from there."

Will Butcher will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season on Sunday against Carolina.

Butcher logged 13:49 of ice time in Saturday's win over Tampa Bay. The rookie blueliner has two goals and 30 points in 58 games this season. Mirco Mueller will play instead.

Miles Wood has been suspended two games for boarding Tampa Bay's Vladislav Namestnikov.

The incident occurred on Saturday night and it landed Wood two minutes in the penalty box. He also got another two minutes for roughing after Lightning defender Andrej Sustr came to his teammate's defense. Wood won't be eligible to return until Thursday, Feb. 22 against Minnesota.

Michal Neuvirth has exited Sunday afternoon's game against the Rangers because of a lower-body injury.

The Flyers already announced that Neuvirth will not return. He wasn't on the bench at the start of the second period after he allowed three goals on 14 shots in 20 minutes of action. Neuvirth was going to see plenty of action with Brian Elliott sidelined following core muscle surgery. This will likely put Philadelphia in the market for a goaltender.

Curtis McElhinney will start Sunday's game against Detroit.

McElhinney will get the second half of Toronto's back-to-back situation after Frederik Andersen was in the cage for Saturday's 5-3 loss to Pittsburgh. The Leafs backup goalie has won his last three starts, while surrendering just two goals. McElhinney has a 6-4-0 record this year with a 2.27 goals-against average and .932 save percentage.

Henrik Lundqvist will be back in goal for Sunday afternoon's match against Philadelphia.

Lundqvist was pulled Saturday after he allowed five goals on 27 shots to Ottawa in a 6-3 loss. He has recorded losses in each of his last three starts. Lundqvist has a 23-20-4 record this season with a 2.80 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.

Adam Gaudette has continued to play great for Northeastern at the NCAA level.

The Canucks stole him in 2015 with the 149th pick and he is now a huge part of their future as he has 27 goals and 51 points in 32 games after a 26 goal, 52 point sophomore season in 36 games last season. The Canucks future is bright with youngsters like Gaudette, Thatcher Demko and Elias Pettersson on the horizon, especially with Brock Boeser and Bo Horvat already performing well at the NHL level.

Aleksander Barkov notched one goal and two assists in Florida's 6-3 win over the Calgary Flames.

Barkov now has points in three straight games. The center scored his 19th goal of the season in the second period and he picked up helpers on goals by Mike Matheson and Vincent Trocheck. Evgenii Dadonov and Jared McCann had the other markers for the Panthers in Saturday's victory. Barkov has amassed 53 points in 54 games this campaign.

Dougie Hamilton scored three goals in a 6-3 loss to the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

Hamilton became the fifth defenseman in Calgary Flames history to record a hat-trick Saturday, scoring a goal in each period of Saturday night's loss to the Panthers. The 24-year-old blueliner appeared in his 400th career game. Hamilton now has 13 goals and 34 points in 59 contests this season.

Jonathan Toews posted a goal and two assists in a 7-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.

Toews registered his second three-point effort of the season Saturday, scoring the opening goal of the game before assisting on Brandon Saad and Patrick Kane's goals in the victory. Toews now has 16 goals and 40 points in 59 games this season.

Evgeni Malkin recorded one goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday.

Malkin's 33rd goal of the season not only tied the game at two in the second period, but it also gave him 900 career points. The center is the fourth Penguins player in team history to reach the milestone. Pittsburgh won the game off goals from Malkin, Carl Hagelin, Zach Aston-Reese, Olli Maatta, and Bryan Rust. Malkin now has 33 goals and 69 points in 56 games this season.

Reilly Smith scored two goals and an assist in a 6-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

Smith picked up three points in 17:02, with four shots on goal and a +1 rating. The winger scored the first goal of the game Saturday, before potting home his second a period later. He later added an assist on Nate Schmidt's fifth of the year. Smith now has 12 points in his last seven straight games for the Golden Knights. Smith now has 19 goals and 51 points in 58 games this season.
