Rick Nash set up Derek Stepan for the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals.

Nash appeared frustrated and overwhelmed at times during Monday's game and even injured his knee at the end of the second period. Thankfully for the Rangers, he delivered at the right time, dishing to Stepan, who beautifully deflected the puck over Braden Holtby's far shoulder. The Rangers will need more plays like that from the Nash and Stepan if they're going to win this series.

Jhonas Enroth will get the start in Thursday's game against the New York Islanders.

This will be just his 11th appearance of the season. The 27-year-old has a 4-3-1 record with a 2.11 goals-against-average and a .931 save percentage this season.

Ryan Murray has inked a two-year, $5.65 million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Murray's new contract, which will begin in 2016-17, is his first post-ELC deal. Taken with the second overall pick in 2012, Murray has been slowed down somewhat due to injuries, but he's played in 55 games this season and still has a lot of untapped upside. In that context, this bridge deal makes a lot of sense for both sides as they're still waiting to see just how good Murray can be.

Brenden Dillon has an upper-body injury.

It's likely not too significant though given that he still participated in Thursday's practice. All the same, he won't play Thursday night. He has six points and 51 penalty minutes in 52 contests this season. Matt Tennyson should draw into the lineup instead.
Feb 11 - 3:46 PM

It looks like Alex Stalock will be the Sharks' starter on Thursday.

That's based on the fact that he was the first goaltender off the ice following the team's practice. He has a 2.76 GAA and .894 save percentage in 12 contests in 2015-16.
Feb 11 - 2:30 PM

Jonathan Quick is dealing with an undisclosed injury.

Quick was hurt when Jimmy Hayes slid into him towards the end of Tuesday's contest. The Kings goaltender is regarded as day-to-day, but he'll at least travel with the Kings on their upcoming six-game road trip.
Feb 11 - 12:41 PM

Ondrej Palat didn't skate on Thursday due to the flu.

The hope is that Palat will still be able to play on Friday, but obviously we'll have to wait and see. He has six goals and 16 points in 33 games in 2015-16.
Feb 11 - 12:16 PM

Andrew Hammond will get the nod Thursday night.

Hammond is making his first appearance since allowing four goals on 18 shots on Feb. 4. He has a 3.10 GAA and .900 save percentage in 12 contests this season.
Feb 11 - 12:08 PM

Valtteri Filppula is battling the flu.

That puts Filppula's availability for Friday's game into question. He has seven goals and 26 points in 53 contests in 2015-16.
Feb 11 - 12:01 PM

The NHL has handed Nazem Kadri a $5,000 fine.

Kadri made a throat-slashing gesture toward Calgary's Mark Giordano on Tuesday. He was angry after receiving a hard hit from the Flames' defenseman. "I know (throat-slashing is) not really allowed," Kadri previously said. "I didn't even realize I did it. And then afterwards I kind of regretted it a little bit. But that's how the game goes. It's an emotional game."
Feb 11 - 11:54 AM

Thomas Greiss will start for the Islanders on Thursday.

It will be Greiss' second start in three games. He has a 2.26 GAA and .929 save percentage in 22 contests in 2015-16.
Feb 11 - 11:15 AM

New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist had a beauty of a game in Pittsburgh Wednesday night, rejecting every shot he faced from the Penguins and recording a 3-0 shutout.

Lundqvist made 34 saves in increasing his record to 27-14-4. He has won four consecutive games and five of his past six. He has only two losses in his past 10 starts. He has started 23 of the Rangers' past 24 games. Lundqvist reduced his goals-against average Wednesday to 2.32 and increased his save percentage to .923. He has once again demonstrated that he is an irrefutable fantasy keeper.
