Pavel Datsyuk threaded a goal just under the crossbar at 6:46 of the third period in Monday's 3-1 Game 3 win.

Datsyuk's goal came just over 2 minutes after the Blackhawks had cut Detroit's lead to 2-1 and not long after the referees negated Chicago's game-tying goal with an interference call. The goal itself was vintage Datsyuk and eerily similar to one he scored against Anaheim in the first round, with Datsyuk streaking into the zone and roofing the puck shortside just over Corey Crawford's shoulder. Datsyuk shot the puck so perfectly it rang in and out of the net fast enough for the TV announcers to think he hit the crossbar.

Frederik Andersen (upper body) appears to be ready to return Thursday versus Nashville.

"We'll see on the plane, but I'm looking pretty positive and I feel ready to go," said Andersen shortly before accompanying his team to Nashville. He faced shots at Wednesday's optional practice and the Leafs returned Garret Sparks to the minors, so the Danish netminder will likely dress Thursday at the very least. Andersen has posted a 6-1-2 record in March with a 2.14 GAA and a .936 save percentage.

Iginla scored an unassisted goal in the second period after having to sit out five minutes of the first period for a fight with Deryk Engelland. Iginla also connected with Marian Gaborik to assist on Jeff Carter’s third-period goal.

Conor Sheary will probably return to the lineup on Wednesday night.

He felt like he would be ready to play after the morning skate. Coach Mike Sullivan classified Sheary as a game-time decision, but added that he was listed as probable to play against Chicago. It sounds like it's safe to activate him.

He arrived Tuesday night after completing his season with Farjestad of the SHL. Eriksson Ek is slated to practice with the team on Wednesday. He had two goals and five points in nine games at the NHL level earlier this season.
