Jakub Voracek is reportedly OK after wrecking his car in an accident this morning in the Czech Republic.

Philadelphia GM Paul Holmgren released this statement: "I spoke with Jake this morning. He was involved in a car accident in the Czech Republic. Although his car did suffer damage, there were no injuries. Jake is fine." Voracek totaled his Ferrari in the accident, but it's a relief that he wasn't hurt.

Antti Raanta turned aside all 26 shots he faced in Friday's 1-0 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

In a surprising move, the Rangers gave Raanta his second consecutive start, but he delivered in a big way. As you may remember, Raanta spent parts of two seasons with the Blackhawks in 2013-14 and 2014-15. He definitely got the better of his old team tonight. The 27-year-old has a 7-1-0 record with a 1.83 goals-against-average and a .939 save percentage. He's been good in limited action this season, but he'd only become fantasy relevant if Lundqvist was forced to miss some time.
Dec 10 - 1:10 AM

Robby Fabbri scored a pair of goals in Friday's 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Fabbri scored the first goal of the game just 1:50 into the first period. He then added another goal in the third frame. The 20-year-old has now put up back-to-back multi-point efforts. Fabbri has eight goals and eight assists in 27 games this season. He's on pace to score a respectable 48 points in 2016-17.
Dec 10 - 12:02 AM

Cam Atkinson scored a goal and an assist in Friday's 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Atkinson opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal at the 3:08 mark of the first period. He then picked up the primary assist on Brandon Dubinsky's go-ahead goal (2-1) in the second period. Atkinson now has nine goals and 25 points in 25 games this season. He probably won't be able to stay at a point-per-game pace, but he's still worth owning in all fantasy formats.
Dec 9 - 11:43 PM

Marcus Johansson scored a goal and an assist in Friday's 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Johansson did all his damage in the third period, as he assisted on John Carlson's first goal of the season to make it 3-1 Washington and he added an empty netter in the last two minutes of the game. Johansson has 12 goals and nine assists in 26 games this season.
Dec 9 - 11:14 PM

Jimmy Vesey will make his long-awaited return to the Rangers' lineup on Friday against Chicago.

Okay, it was just one game. The rookie has posted nine goals and 16 points in 27 games this season, with 11 blocks and 22 hits to boot.

Captain Nick Foligno is too sick to play in Friday's match with the Red Wings.

Being sick sucks, and you know it has to be bad for Foligno to miss a game. He's posted 10 goals and 22 points in 24 games along with 15 blocks, 22 PIMs, and 36 hits. He's considered day-to-day.
Dec 9 - 6:59 PM

Calvin Pickard will be the Avalanche's starter on Saturday.

Pickard is getting a second start in a row after saving 29 of 31 shots on Thursday. He has a 5-2-1 record, 2.39 GAA, and .922 save percentage in nine contests this season.
Dec 9 - 5:23 PM

Jimmy Vesey (upper body) will be a game-time decision on Friday.

The plan is for Vesey to participate in the pregame warmups and then the coaching staff will make a call. Vesey couldn't play on Thursday due to the ailment.
Dec 9 - 2:47 PM

Antti Raanta will get the nod on Friday.

Raanta stopped 17 of 18 shots in a 2-1 win over the Jets on Thursday. It's surprising to see a backup goaltender play on back-to-back nights, especially when your starter is as established as Henrik Lundqvist is. That said, Lundqvist has been a bit of a mixed bag lately and Raanta is coming off a win, so perhaps the Rangers are hoping to build a little momentum.
Dec 9 - 2:45 PM

Jiri Hudler (illness) has been taken off the injured reserve list.

Hudler hasn't played since Nov. 1 due to the sickness. The Stars demoted Jason Dickinson to make room for him.

Cal Clutterbuck has agreed to a five-year extension with the New York Islanders.

The financial terms of the contract weren't immediately known, but Clutterbuck is in the final season of a four-year, $11 million deal. Clutterbuck typically serves as a bottom-six forward and doesn't contribute a lot offensively, though his role has been somewhat different so far in 2016-17. He's averaging 15:26 minutes per game - the most since he joined the Islanders - and has two goals and nine points in 25 contests. He's also continued to play with the physical edge he's known for, as demonstrated by his 89 hits thus far.
