Connor McDavid put on a show during Thursday's 5-2 win over his hometown Maple Leafs.

McDavid's previous high water mark of points in a single game was three, of which he's accomplished twice already. The second time last week. Tonight McDavid popped a pair and assisted on Edmonton's other three for his second two-goal game and new high mark of five points in a game. He's now up to nine goals and 24 points in just 19 games.

Patrick Eaves notched a first period hat trick in the Stars' 4-2 win over Chicago on Thursday night.

Eaves became the fourth player in the league to score three goals in one period this season, and the second of the night after Alex Ovechkin scored a hat trick in Washington's game against Minnesota. Eaves has four goals and seven points in his last four games, and 11 points this season.

Jarome Iginla's pair of goals and assist powered the Avalanche past the Ottawa Senators 4-3 on Thursday night.

Iginla has cooked up a four game point streak, with two goals and six points during that span. Iggy now has 15 goals and 30 points through 57 games this season.

John Tavares potted a goal and an assist in the Isles' 5-2 win over Los Angeles on Thursday night.

It was Tavares' fourth straight game with at least a point. Though the 25-year-old's stats are a bit lower this season than in past years, he now has nine points in six February games, totalling 43 points in 50 contests.
Feb 11 - 10:14 PM

Steve Mason dazzled the home crowd on Thursday night with 41 saves on 42 shots to pick up a 5-1 victory over Buffalo.

The win snaps a three game losing streak by the 26-year-old, who is 2-2-1 since the All Star Break. Overall, Mason is 12-14-7 with a 2.70 goals against average and .915 save percentage. He would be a much more valuable fantasy asset if he was more consistent, as he has shown spurts of great play this season.

Ryan Murray has inked a two-year, $5.65 million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Murray's new contract, which will begin in 2016-17, is his first post-ELC deal. Taken with the second overall pick in 2012, Murray has been slowed down somewhat due to injuries, but he's played in 55 games this season and still has a lot of untapped upside. In that context, this bridge deal makes a lot of sense for both sides as they're still waiting to see just how good Murray can be.
Feb 11 - 5:44 PM

Brenden Dillon has an upper-body injury.

It's likely not too significant though given that he still participated in Thursday's practice. All the same, he won't play Thursday night. He has six points and 51 penalty minutes in 52 contests this season. Matt Tennyson should draw into the lineup instead.
Feb 11 - 3:46 PM

It looks like Alex Stalock will be the Sharks' starter on Thursday.

That's based on the fact that he was the first goaltender off the ice following the team's practice. He has a 2.76 GAA and .894 save percentage in 12 contests in 2015-16.
