Nathan Horton is dealing with a chronic shoulder dislocation, a source with direct knowledge of the situation tells WEEI radio.

Horton is officially day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, but it certainly looked like a shoulder injury when it happened. According to WEEI, the injury happened when Horton fought Jarome Iginla on April 20 and he's been undergoing treatment for it ever since. If this is true, the injury can be extremely painful and the shoulder is subject to dislocating at a moment's notice. Since he's played with it all postseason, we doubt the shoulder will keep Horton out of the Stanley Cup final, but we won't know anything official until Saturday's morning skate most likely.

Updating a previous item, David Krejci (upper body) won't play against the Buffalo Sabres.

Krejci took part in the pregame warmup, but he will be a late scratch. He apparently isn't feeling well enough to play, so get him out of your lineups before puck drop.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired Riley Sheahan and a 5th round pick from the Detroit Red Wings.

In return, the Red Wings will receive forward Scott Wilson and a 3rd round pick. Sheahan has looked like a shadow of the impressive center we saw in his first two seasons. At times, it appeared the NHL game just became too fast for the big center. Hopefully a fresh start with the Penguins will do him some good. He should not be picked up in any formats. No salary was retained by either team in the deal.
Oct 21 - 5:56 PM

Boone Jenner (back) will make his season debut tonight when the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Los Angeles Kings.

Jenner has yet to play due to the back injury he suffered prior to the start of the season. If he is truly over his back ailment, it will be interesting to see if Jenner can find the form that led to his 30-goal campaign for the Blue Jackets two seasons ago. We wouldn't rush to pick him up off the waiver wire.
Oct 21 - 4:58 PM

The Anaheim Ducks have announced that Patrick Eaves (lower-body) will not travel with the team for their upcoming four-game road trip.

Eaves hasn't played since he re-aggravated his lower-body injury that cost him the start of the season. He's coming off a career year but his lower-body issues should keep him on the waiver wire for the foreseeable future.
Oct 21 - 4:30 PM

Anaheim Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle announced that the only obstacle remaining in Lindholm's return is the green light from the player himself.

Lindholm will likely be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Flyers. His return would come at a great time seeing as Cam Fowler might be missing time after sustaining a lower-body injury in Friday's win against the Montreal Canadiens.
Oct 21 - 4:28 PM

Anaheim Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle has announced that defenseman Cam Fowler (lower-body) is undergoing a MRI and does not have any more updates.

Fowler was injured falling to the ice awkwardly and appeared to be in some discomfort. The Ducks blueline looks like they will be without their top three defensemen with Hampus Lindholm and Sami Vatanen already out injured. If Fowler misses time, look for Brandon Montour to get more of an opportunity on the power play. The good news is that Fowler has until Tuesday to get himself healthy enough to suit up for the Ducks.
Oct 21 - 3:32 PM

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

It marked his 407th career NHL win, moving him into a tie for 9th most all-time with Hall of Famer Glenn Hall. The win also snaps a four-game losing streak for Lundqvist. He has struggled in the early parts of the season but he looked poised this afternoon, making several big saves in the third period to keep the Rangers ahead. The win improves his record to 2-3-2, with a 3.00 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.
Oct 21 - 3:12 PM

St. Louis Blues head coach Mike Yeo has announced that defensemen Colton Parayko (hand) is fine and he will play tonight.

It looks like Parayko got away with only a scare. He took a shot off the hand on Thursday and missed most of the third period due to the injury. Get him back into your fantasy lineups ahead of tonight's game against the Golden Knights.
Oct 21 - 3:02 PM

Jordan Weal is not out with his teammates for warmups, indicating he will not play this afternoon against the Oilers.

Weal is battling an upper-body injury that has now cost him two games. He has four points in six games this season. It appears Matt Read will take his place in the lineup.
Oct 21 - 12:36 PM

Wayne Simmonds is currently on the ice for pre-game warmups with his teammates, indicating he will play this afternoon against the Oilers.

Simmonds took off Friday's practice for maintenance purposes. Despite battling a lower-body injury, he has yet to miss a game this season. He has five goals and seven points in seven games this season.
Oct 21 - 12:34 PM

Juuse Saros will start Saturday afternoon against the Rangers.

Saros has made just one other appearance this season and it was a 4-0 loss to Pittsburgh back on Oct. 7. Adjust your lineup accordingly.
