Buffalo GM Darcy Regier knows that he has to acquire assets for Thomas Vanek and Ryan Miller, but he doesn't appear to be any kind of a rush to trade them elsewhere right now.

He said he would fine with the situation if both of them started the 2013-14 season in Buffalo. "Everyone understands the way the National League is right now," Regier said. "It's interesting because as the marketplace is being formulated, it impacts what we want to do or may be able to do."

Alex Pietrangelo (lower body) has been moved to injured reserve.

Pietrangelo didn't play Sunday after he was hurt on a blocked shot Saturday. It's unclear how long he will be sidelined for at this time. Pietrangelo logs heavy minutes and there's a significant hole in the lineup of the Blues without him. He also has seven goals and 23 points in 30 games this season.
Dec 12 - 10:02 AM

Corey Perry suffered a lower body injury in the first period and will not return.

Perry played only 3:49 before ending his night. He was a minus-one and saw his four game points streak come to an end. He has 22 points this season, tops on the Ducks. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Dec 11 - 11:55 PM

Mathieu Perreault scored two goals and an assist in Monday's 5-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Perreault's first goal proved to be the game-winner, as it gave the Jets a 2-1 lead in the second period. He then helped set up Nikolaj Ehlers' power play goal before scoring another one in the final minute of regulation. Perreault now has nine goals and nine assists in 19 games this season. He's accumulated eight points in his last six contests.
