According to Doug Murray's agent, Anton Thun, the Vancouver Canucks are among several teams interested in the services of the hulking defender.

"We've talked to them off and on all summer," said Thun referring to Vancouver. "At this point we're not close to signing. There are a group of clubs that have interest, so it comes down to the right circumstances and the right dollars. At this point in time there's a gridlock in terms of cap space and money availability with a number of clubs. Until some of that shakes out and the dominoes start to fall, I think the market is going to be tight. Whenever that starts to shake out, we'll react accordingly as to what might be the right place." The Canucks say they are keeping their options open as well. Murray skated in 43 contests last season split between with San Jose and Pittsburgh.

Zach Parise has been moved to long-term injured reserve.

In a corresponding move, Minnesota also activated forward Charlie Coyle from LTIR on Monday. Parise had successful microdiscectomy surgery back on Oct. 24. He hasn't played yet this season and isn't expected to be available until late December of early January.

Minnesota has activated Charlie Coyle from long-term injured reserve.

Coyle has missed the last 16 games because of a right fibula fracture. He could be back in the lineup as soon as Monday night.
Nov 20 - 3:58 PM

Charlie Coyle (fibula fracture) will get back in the lineup this week.

"Don't know if it's tonight, tomorrow or the weekend," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "But he's a big strong guy that is healing quite quickly." Coyle has been out since Oct. 12 since he suffered a right fibula fracture. He took part in the team's morning skate Monday, but he isn't projected to return against New Jersey. We'll keep you posted as that could change before game time.

Marc Methot will be out of action for four-to-six weeks after he had his knee scoped on Monday.

Methot, who has been put on injured reserve, hasn't played since Nov. 6 with what was initially listed as a "lower-body injury." He has no points in 15 games this season. Methot's extended stay on the sidelines explains why the Stars brought up Julius Honka from the minors on Monday.

Kari Lehtonen is unavailable indefinitely due to personal reasons, according to Dallas GM Jim Nill.

The Stars also announced that Mike McKenna has called up from the Texas Stars to serve as Ben Bishop's backup. Lehtonen has played in seven games and has made five starts this campaign. Hopefully, whatever issue he is dealing with goes well and he can return to the team as soon as possible.

Mark Borowiecki suffered a concussion on Sunday night against the New York Rangers.

Borowiecki crashed into the boards after he was involved in a third-period collision with Brendan Smith. Ottawa coach Guy Boucher confirmed that Borowiecki lost consciousness on the ice before he was helped off and that he was concussed on the play. A timetable for his return is unclear at this time.

Joe Pavelski has been playing hurt of late with an unspecified injury.

Well that makes sense as his stats have been very un-Joe Pavelski-like. He has had 68 points or better the last four seasons but has only four goals and eight points in 18 games thus far. "Joe’s playing at not 100 percent, and I’ll be honest, a lot of guys maybe even wouldn’t be out there, dealing with what he’s dealing with," Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said Sunday. "He’s giving us what he can, and that still is effective." Well at least you know why he has been suffering on the scoresheet.

Surprisingly, Connor McDavid is ahead of his pace of last season when he had 100 points to lead the NHL.

McDavid has 25 points in 20 games this season and had only 24 in the same amount of games in 2016-17. He is far behind the point leaders this season as Steven Stamkos has 35 and is linemate Nikita Kucherov has 33 but he is still tied for sixth place in NHL scoring.

Johnny Gaudreau is on a nine game points streak.

Boy is the winger hot! Gaudreau has goals in five straight games as well and has 17 points during this streak. He will look to make it 10 in a row against the Capitals Monday. Gaudreau has nine goals and 29 points, good for third place in NHL scoring. He is a must-start.

John Gibson stopped the Panthers 50 times in Sunday night's 3-2 victory.

It was one save shy of his career high as the Panthers were rejected time and time again. The win, Gibson's second straight, improves his record to 7-6-1 this season with a .924 save percentage and 2.78 goals against average.
Nov 19 - 11:45 PM

Henrik Lundqvist turned aside all 20 shots he faced from the struggling Ottawa Senators offence in a 3-0 win on Sunday night.

Lundqvist snapped a two game slump and his teammates made it relatively easy for him, as he needed to make just three saves while shorthanded. The King improves to 9-6-2 this season with a 2.81 goals against average and .911 save percentage.
