The Calgary Flames lost 2-1 in overtime to the Vancouver Canucks despite a considerable shot advantage, so Ryan Miller was a big difference-maker.

Miller made 35 out of 36 stops (including two shorthanded and 11 on Flames power plays) to grab just his second win in his past six appearances. The Canucks have allowed 33+ SOG in four of Miller's last five shots, so he's having to overcome quite a bit in net.

Cam Talbot blocked 38 of 39 shots as the Oilers defeated the Blackhawks 3-1 Saturday night.

Antoine Roussel earned his first hat trick of the season as the Dallas Stars beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 in overtime Saturday night.

Roussel accounted for all three of the Stars’ regulation goals. Trailing 2-0 almost 13 minutes in the first, he scored at the 12:50 and 18:50 minute marks to tie the contest. The Bolts held the Stars scoreless through the second and Roussel tied the game for a second time at 4:40 in the third, sending the game into overtime where Jamie Benn scored the game winner. Derick Brassard scored two goals and had one assist in a 6-3 victory over the Maple Leafs Saturday night.

Dale Tallon knows what he wants come trade deadline.

"The goal is to be buying," president of hockey operations Dale Tallon said. "I like where we're at, but I'd like to add some offense to get our power play going." The additions of Jonathan Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov and Nick Bjugstad sure have helped, but a little more offensive punch can always be appreciated. Florida is projected to have over $9.55M in cap space to do just that as they sit just one point behind Toronto for the second wild card as of this writing.
