Seth Jones sniped his first career NHL goal in the Predators' 3-2 victory over the Islanders on Saturday night.

The fourth overall pick in the past draft continues to log big minutes (21:40) and he now has a goal and an assist on the year. Ryan Ellis scored the game-winning goal at 3:23 of the third period, and he also assisted on Patric Hornqvist's goal late in the second period. Because of his upside and the coaching staff's trust in him early on, Jones is worth taking a shot on in deeper one-year fantasy leagues.

Jamie Benn scored a goal and two assists in Tuesday's crazy 7-6 win over the New York Rangers.

Benn helped the Stars build up a 7-3 lead heading into the third period. Many suspected the game was over at that point, but that was far from the case. The Rangers cut the lead to 7-6 with just over 12 minutes remaining. Thankfully for Dallas, they were able to hang on by the skin of their teeth. Benn has 11 goals 38 points in 42 games this season. Patrick Sharp (2), Radek Faksa (2), Patrick Eaves (3), Cody Eakin (2) and Lauri Korpikoski (2) all had multi-point games for Dallas tonight.

St. Louis will stick with Carter Hutton between the pipes when the team hosts Ottawa on Tuesday night.

Ondrej Pavelec has been called up by the Winnipeg Jets.

He has posted an 8-7-2 record with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage with the AHL's Manitoba Moose this season. Winnipeg has one win in the last six games and the goaltending hasn't been steady this year, so Pavelec could get some playing time.
