Niklas Kronwall (concussion) hopes to skate on Monday.

He hasn't experienced headaches or other symptoms, so that bodes well for his recovery. "I feel really good, actually, under the circumstances," Kronwall said. "No issues so far. So far so good."

The Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly given the Colorado Avalanche permission to speak to assistant GM Kyle Dubas.

This report comes from Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. Dubas has been with the organization since the summer of 2014. It's unclear what role he's being interviewed for, but it's clear that the Avalanche need to upgrade their front office after the miserable season they had in 2016-17. It's not the first time Dubas has garnered interest from other teams. We'll see if it amounts to anything this time around.

Craig Anderson was outstanding in Ottawa's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

What a response from Anderson, after he allowed three goals on 13 shots in Game 5. Anderson left the Penguins frustrated all night, as he turned aside 45 of the 46 shots Pittsburgh sent his way. Pens forward Evgeni Malkin opened the scoring in the second period, but Ottawa responded with two goals from Bobby Ryan and Mike Hoffman to get the win. Anderson now owns a 11-7 record with a 2.36 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage this postseason. The best-of-seven series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. The winner of that game will take on Nashville in the Stanley Cup Final.

Evgeni Malkin scored a goal in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Ottawa in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Malkin opened the scoring at the 4:51 mark of the second period, but it's the only offense the Penguins were able to muster tonight. Sens goalie Craig Anderson was a huge reason for that, as he was terrific in this game. Malkin finished the game with two penalty minutes, seven shots on goal and three hits in 19:42 of ice time. Malkin now has four points in his last two games. He has seven goals and an incredible 24 points in 18 postseason games in 2017. Ian Cole and Scott Wilson picked up the assists on Pittsburgh's only goal. The series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

Mike Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in Ottawa's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Tuesday.

The Penguins scored the first goal of the game, but Ottawa responded by goals by Bobby Ryan (second period) and Hoffman (early in the third frame). Hoffman's goal came on a blast from the faceoff circle. The Sens forward finished the game with two penalty minutes, two shots on goal and five hits in 16:20 of ice time. Hoffman has two goals and four points in his last four contests. He's up to five goals and five assists in 17 games this postseason. The best-of-seven series is now tied up at three. Game 7 will be played in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. The winner off that one will play Nashville in the Stanley Cup Final.
May 23 - 11:09 PM

Alex Burrows has been ruled out for Game 6 versus Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

He wasn't expected to be ready to play and that has been confirmed by coach Guy Boucher. Mark Borowiecki (lower body) won't be available to play either on Tuesday night.
May 23 - 12:44 PM

Patric Hornqvist (upper body) won't return for Game 6 at Ottawa on Tuesday night.

He stayed in Pittsburgh to rehab from his upper-body injury. Hornqvist is making progress, according to coach Mike Sullivan, but he is still day-to-day.
May 23 - 12:18 PM

Justin Schultz (upper body) won't play Tuesday night in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

He appeared to be close to getting back in the lineup on Sunday afternoon, but he didn't play against Ottawa. Schultz is continuing to rehab, while accompanying the team on the road.

Predators goalie Pekka Rinne was outstanding Monday night during Nashville's 6-3 victory over the visiting Anaheim Ducks in the sixth and final game of the Western Conference Final.

Rinne made 38 saves against the Ducks in this one. He stopped 32 in the Preds' 3-1 victory last Saturday. "He's the best player on our team, night in and night out," said Colton Sissons, who scored three of Nashville's goals Monday. "I've never met anyone as competitive as Pekka." Rinne will enter the Stanley Cup Final May 29 with a 12-4 postseason record and a legitimate shot at the Conn Smythe Trophy as the premier player in the NHL playoffs. His goals-against average in the postseason is only 1.70 and he has an impressive save percentage of .941.

The Nashville Predators are going to the first Stanley Cup Final in their franchise history thanks to a Colton Sissons hat trick and a dramatic 6-3 triumph Monday night over the visiting Anaheim Ducks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final.

Sissons recorded his first playoff hat trick, one in the first period and two in the third. His third goal, with six minutes left in the third period, made it 4-3 for the Preds and turned out to be the game winner. It was a beauty. Moments after an Anaheim power play, Sissons took a pinpoint, cross-ice pass from Calle Jarnkrok and fired a perfect shot past Ducks goalie Jonathan Bernier. Sissons goes into the Stanley Cup final May 29 against either the Pittsburgh Penguins or the Ottawa Senators with five postseason goals. His first Monday gave the Preds a 2-0 lead in the first period. Filip Forsberg found the empty net for his eighth goal of the playoffs. He also assisted on Sissons' second goal and increased his postseason points streak to seven games. Austin Watson also scored an empty-netter as well as the game's first goal. Watson now has four playoff goals. Pontus Aberg contributed two assists for the Western champions.
May 22 - 11:24 PM

Jonathan Bernier will play between the pipes in Game 6 Monday night.

John Gibson suffered a lower-body injury in Game 5. He skated Monday morning and the hope was that he would be available, but that ultimately wasn't the case. Bernier has a 2.90 GAA and .905 save percentage in three playoff games this year, but this will be his first postseason start of the Ducks' run.
May 22 - 7:56 PM

John Gibson (lower body) took part in Monday's morning skate.

Gibson left Game 5 after he suffered the injury. Ducks coach Randy Carlyle took that as a good sign, but he'll naturally need to consult with the goaltender and the training staff before he has a final answer regarding Gibson's availability for Game 6 Monday night.
