Mats Zuccarello scored twice to lead the New York Rangers in a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 on Saturday.

Zuccarello had been fairly quiet in the first round series prior to Saturday's contest as he had one goal and no assists in five games, but he came through when the Rangers needed him the most. Thanks in part to his efforts, the Rangers are heading to the second round to face the winner of the series between the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators. Eric Staal was taken to hospital after crashing into the boards awkwardly on Saturday afternoon.

It was a scary incident. Staal came into the Blues zone with speed before firing a puck on goal. As he was skating towards the Blues net, his skate caught Jake Allen's pad, which caused him to crash into the boards awkwardly. Staal was down for a while, and he needed help getting off the ice. It's nice to hear he's in stable condition.

Paul Stastny (lower body) will play in Game 5 against Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.

Stastny's been out of the lineup since Mar. 23. His return definitely gives his team a boost. He'll play on a line with Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko. Stastny finished the regular season with 18 goals and 40 points in 66 games this season. A Blues win would allow them to move into the second round.

Stan Bowman called his team's season "a complete failure".

The Blackhawks managed to win 50 games during the regular season, which led many to believe that they were the favorites to win the Stanley Cup. Instead, the Hawks were swept by the Nashville Predators in the opening round. "I am frustrated, I am angry, this was a tough, tough loss for us all to take," said Bowman. "Standing here April 22 is not the way we expected our season to end. It is a complete failure when you measure it against the expectations that we have for ourselves. We did not come even close to reaching the standard we have set over the years here. And that is unacceptable. Any successes that we did experience this year are completely overshadowed by the abrupt ending to our season. It is not close to good enough for anybody." Head coach Joel Quenneville's job isn't in jeopardy, but someone will pay the price for the early exit.
