Frederik Andersen replaced Jonas Hiller in the Anaheim net Sunday night and was simply perfect.

After Hiller allowed three goals on nine Dallas shots, Andersen stopped all 24 shots he faced as he sparked the Ducks rebounded from a 3-1 disadvantage after the first period and defeated the visiting Stars 6-3. Andersen, who has been playing with AHL Norfolk, was on the Anaheim bench only because Viktor Fasth is dealing with a lower-body injury.

Braden Holtby will get the start in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Note that this game gets underway at 12:00 pm EST. Holtby is coming off a shootout win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon. He has a 32-5-3 record with a 2.06 goals-against-average and a .928 save percentage this season.

Wayne Simmonds won't be suspended for his punch to the head of Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh.

Simmonds was given a match penalty on Saturday afternoon while McDonagh left the game for precautionary reasons and did not return. The NHL's Department of Player Safety decided the game misconduct was enough of a punishment for Simmonds. He will play in Sunday afternoon's tilt against the Washington Capitals. Insert him into your fantasy lineup.

Drew Stafford accounted for three points in the Jets’ 4-2 win against the Avalanche on Saturday night.

Stafford scored twice on six shots and had an assist in 14:43. He had gone eight games without a goal. Stafford isn’t much of a fantasy (16 goals, 28 points) factor, though perhaps a team in real life would take him off the Jets’ hands if they took on some money? Mathieu Perreault (goal, assist) and Andrew Ladd picked up the other markers. Mark Scheifele amassed 12 penalty minutes.
Feb 7 - 1:14 AM

Paul Stastny was among four Blues with two points in their 4-1 win against the Wild on Saturday night.

Stastny, along with Jori Lehtera and Troy Brouwer, picked up a goal and an assist apiece. After going without a point in four games, Stastny has picked up points in back-to-back contests. He has six goals and 26 points on the year. Vladimir Tarasenko ended a five-game skid with a goal, while Robby Fabbri picked up two assists.
Feb 6 - 11:15 PM

Filip Forsberg registered three points in the Predators’ 6-2 win against the Sharks on Saturday night.

Forsberg scored once and assisted on both of Viktor Arvidsson’s markers. He had been pointless in his past four games. To say this season has been a disappointment for Forsberg would be an understatement as he has 15 goals and 33 points in 53 games after posting 26 and 63, respectively, in his rookie year. Shea Weber (goal, assist), James Neal, Calle Jarnkrok got the other goals. Mike Ribeiro and Ryan Johansen each chipped in with two assists apiece.
Feb 6 - 11:04 PM

Kris Letang recorded three points in the Penguins’ 3-2 overtime win against the Panthers on Saturday night.

The defenseman scored twice, including the winner, and assisted once. The Penguins were basically willed to a victory on the backs of two players, Letang and Sidney Crosby, who scored and assisted twice. The duo accounted for 13 of the team’s 35 shots, too. Trevor Daley got two helpers.
Feb 6 - 10:35 PM

Aleksander Barkov netted a shorthanded goal for the Panthers in their 3-2 overtime loss to the Penguins on Saturday night.

How much longer until we consider Barkov as one of the top players in the East? The 20-year-old has 16 goals and 35 points, with goals in four consecutive and points in six in a row. Jussi Jokinen got the other goal, while also adding an assist.
Feb 6 - 10:34 PM

Erik Karlsson picked up four assists in the Senators’ 6-1 win against the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Is there any question as to who should be leading the Norris race? It’s crazy to think, but Karlsson would be getting some Hart love, too, had he played on a better team. Karlsson has points in four games in a row, boosting his totals to 11 goals and 59 points. Curtis Lazar (two goals) Zack Smith (goal, assist), Mark Stone (goal, assist), Mika Zibanejad and Bobby Ryan got the goals.
Feb 6 - 10:23 PM

Brad Marchand netted the game-winning overtime goal for the Bruins in their 2-1 triumph against the Sabres on Saturday night.

Marchand tied his 2014-15 goal total in 30 fewer games, and he’s four away from matching his career-high 28, which he set in 2011-12. He has goals in four of his past five games, with 22 shots during that stretch. Marchand isn't much of a playmaker, but he'll chip in some penalty minutes, making him a strong fantasy play. Loui Eriksson notched the other goal.
Feb 6 - 10:05 PM

The February 14th match between Detroit and Boston has been moved back to 3:30 PM eastern.

The original start time for the game was only 3:00 PM, so this shouldn't affect anyone too much. The game will still be broadcast on NBCSN.

Malcolm Subban has been hospitalized after taking a puck to the throat in Saturday's match with Portland.

Subban was injured prior to the game during warm-ups. There is no word yet on how the young netminder is doing, but we'll keep you posted. Hopefully this is more of a precautionary maneuver. Zane McIntyre took the net without a backup tonight.
