Alexander Steen suffered a lower-body injury Saturday night.

Steen played 3:04 before departing in the first period after he collided knee-on-knee with Cody Goloubef. He had two shots on goal. Steen has enjoyed another fine season, with 24 goals and 62 points, which is tied for his career high.

Mikko Koivu scored twice and added an assist as the Wild took down the Kings 4-1 on Saturday night.

Koivu is not the same offensive player he once was, but he’s on a bit of a hot streak right now with four goals and six points over his past five games. On the year, he has 14 goals and 47 points in 76 games. Nino Niederreiter netted two goals in the win, to give him 24 on the year. Chris Stewart picked up two helpers.
Mar 28 - 10:58 PM

Devan Dubnyk stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Wild’s 4-1 win over the Kings on Saturday night.

Dubnyk was making his 35th consecutive start (34th in a row with the Wild), and he does not appear to be wearing down. He is 26-6-1 with Minnesota now, boasting a 2.05 goals-against average and .930 save percentage on the season. He has transformed Minnesota into a contender in the West, though they will certainly have to improve their slipping possession numbers to make a deep run.
Mar 28 - 10:57 PM

Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves for the Blue Jackets in their 4-2 win against the Blues on Saturday night.

The Blue Jackets really had no business winning this game, so they can point to Bobrovsky for giving them a chance. He stopped all 13 shots he faced in the third period. Bobrovsky has won five games in a row, and now sports a 2.74 goals-against average and .917 save percentage. Keep rolling him out there.
Mar 28 - 10:46 PM

Patrik Berglund registered a goal and an assist in the Blues’ 4-2 loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

Berglund scored 52 seconds into the second period and he assisted on Vladimir Tarasenko’s power-play goal later on in the frame. Berglund’s two-point night snapped an 11-game pointless streak. Tarasenko, who finished a minus-three, has 36 goals.
Mar 28 - 10:45 PM

Tyler Bozak broke out for three goals and an assist in the Maple Leafs’ 4-3 overtime win against the Senators on Saturday night.

Bozak had last scored March 11 and had two goals (and two points) in March. Toronto erased a 3-1 third-period deficit in this one, with Bozak scoring three in the third to tie it up. Bozak has 22 goals and 45 points in 76 games this season, so even though he’s finally been healthy he hasn’t exactly produced at a high clip. Eric Brewer scored the other goal, while Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk chipped in with three assists apiece.
Mar 28 - 10:05 PM

Cam Talbot will be in net when the Rangers host the Capitals on Sunday afternoon.

This seemed to be the way the Rangers would go regardless of how Henrik Lundqvist (26 saves on 30 shots) performed in his return Saturday. Talbot has a 2.16 goals-against average and .928 save percentage this season. New York only has one more back-to-back after this one remaining, so Talbot might only be good for another start or two as the regular season concludes.
Mar 28 - 9:12 PM

Forward Rene Bourque will miss the rest of the season because of a back injury.

That was the word Saturday night from Columbus Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards. Bourque was injured a week ago and had not played since. He was getting hot before the injury with three goals in his previous two games. On the season, Bourque had six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 51 games.
Mar 28 - 7:03 PM

Pittsburgh superstar Evgeni Malkin returned to the Penguins Saturday and contributed two assists in a 3-2 victory over the visiting Arizona Coyotes.

Malkin missed six games after sustaining a lower-body injury during his first shift in the Penguins' 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins on March 14. Malkin now has 42 assists and 70 points in 64 games this season. His shot total on Saturday was five, second on the Pens only to fellow superstar Sidney Crosby, who fired six shots on net. Crosby scored a goal and had two assists himself against the Coyotes. Malkin missed six games after sustaining the injury during his first shift in the Penguins' 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins on March 14. Forward Patric Hornqvist, who last played against the Detroit Red Wings on March 15, also returned to the Pittsburgh, but forward David Perron was unavailable because of an undisclosed illness.
Mar 28 - 6:41 PM

With doubts swirling around Jimmy Howard, Petr Mrazek made a case for himself in the Detroit Red Wings' 4-0 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Mrazek stopped all 23 shots for his second shutout of the season, improving his 2014-15 record to 15-7-1. He's likely worth a roster spot if you're hurting for fantasy playoff goaltending, even if it's a 50-50 split with Howard.
Mar 28 - 5:14 PM

For the first time in a long time, Sidney Crosby enjoyed a three-point game. He factored into every Pittsburgh Penguins goal in a 3-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes.

Crosby's 25th goal of the season was the game-winner, and with two assists, he has the NHL points lead with 78. Evgeni Malkin had two assists in his return and Steve Downie had a big showing in his own right on Saturday.
