James Neal (upper body) is expected to be out at least one more week and is unlikely to practice this week according to head coach Dan Bylsma.

The injury has really hurt the Penguins who have not had Neal in the lineup since the first period of the opener. His center Evgeni Malkin really misses his play as Malkin has only three goals and 10 points in 11 games which is less than expected for the Russian superstar. Neal is on the long-term reserve list and is eligible to return this week although that is not going to happen.

Shea Weber (lower body) won't play against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night.

It's a bit of a surprise considering he took part in the morning skate. This is terrible news for a Canadiens team that's struggling badly right now. Weber has four goals 13 points in 20 games this season. Adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly.
Nov 21 - 8:17 PM

Derek Dorsett has returned to Vancouver for further evaluation after he started to experience neck and back stiffness symptoms.

Dorsett had a cervical fusion procedure last year and he has progressed well from it, but the team is taking every precaution necessary to make sure Dorsett is fine. His status is unclear until he sees a specialist, but we know he won't play Tuesday night.
Nov 21 - 4:43 PM

Michal Neuvirth will be between the pipes Tuesday against Vancouver.

The Flyers will play again on Wednesday, so Brian Elliott could start that contest versus the New York Islanders. Neuvirth hasn't played in a game since Nov. 4 when he lost 5-4 in a shootout to Colorado. He has a 2-3-1 record this year with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage.
Nov 21 - 4:32 PM

Connor McDavid is fine to play Tuesday night.

McDavid has been battling an illness lately, but he will play against the St. Louis Blues. "Connor's been sick for a week to 10 days now and hasn't practiced at all," coach Todd McLellan said. "He is getting better and he'll play tonight. If we need to give him some rest over the next few days we'll give him some rest. He's been giving us everything he has energy wise; his minutes have come down a little bit but he'll be fine." McDavid has compiled 10 goals and 25 points in 20 games this year.
Nov 21 - 4:22 PM

Evgeni Malkin (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus Vancouver.

Malkin didn't practice on Tuesday due to an upper-body injury. His status will be re-evaluated before a determination on his availability for the weekend is made.
Nov 21 - 1:13 PM

Ryan McDonagh will sit out Wednesday's game against Carolina because of an abdominal strain.

McDonagh didn't take part in Tuesday's practice because of the injury. A timetable for his return is unclear at this time, so consider him day-to-day for now.
Nov 21 - 12:45 PM

Torey Krug (upper body) won't be back on Wednesday night.

Krug was on the ice Tuesday for practice in a non-contact jersey. Boston's match against New Jersey will be his third consecutive game on the shelf with an upper-body injury.
Nov 21 - 12:37 PM

Brad Marchand (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against New Jersey.

Marchand skated at Tuesday's practice in a non-contact jersey. Wednesday's contest will be his fourth straight on the sidelines with an undisclosed ailment.
Nov 21 - 12:33 PM

Andrew MacDonald (lower body) took part in Monday's practice.

Unfortunately MacDonald won't be available on Tuesday and he doesn't think he'll be able to return on Wednesday either. That's unfortunate for the Flyers given that they're also now missing defenseman Radko Gudas, who received a 10-game suspension. The situation might lead to Mark Alt playing on Tuesday.
Nov 21 - 9:49 AM

Mikael Granlund scored two goals and an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils.

Granlund registered the primary assist on Nino Niederreiter's power play goal in the second period before scoring twice in the third frame. The Wild forward has three goals and 12 points in 15 games this season. His point streak has now hit four games (he has seven points during that stretch).
Nov 20 - 11:51 PM

Adam Henrique picked up a goal and two assists in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Minnesota Wild.

Henrique opened the scoring late in the first period before setting up Will Butcher's goal in the third period and John Moore's tally in overtime. Henrique finished the night with a plus-2 rating and two shots on goal in 16:59 of ice time. The Devils forward has four goals and eight assists in 20 games this season. The goal put an end to his 10-game goalless drought.
