Nathan MacKinnon will likely move up to the second line due to Alex Tanguay's knee injury.

The talented rookie will get a chance to shift over to right wing to play alongside Gabriel Landeskog and Paul Stastny. It certainly will be a boost to his fantasy value. Look for MacKinnon to capitalize on this opportunity.

Taylor Hall had a goal and two assists in Friday's 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Hall opened the scoring at the 2:15 mark of the second period before assisting on goals by Brian Boyle and Damon Severson later on in the frame. The Devils forward has accumulated seven points in his last six games. He's having quite the season for New Jersey, as he's already up to seven goals and 24 points in 22 games. Hall needs to be owned and started in all fantasy leagues.

Kyle Okposo scored a goal and an assist in Friday's 3-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Okposo registered the primary assist on Jacob Josefson's second-period goal. He then added an empty-netter in the final minute of regulation. Okposo finished the game with a plus-2 rating, two penalty minutes and three shots on goal in 17:39 of ice time. The Sabres forward now has three goals and eight assists in 21 games this season.

Cam Atkinson scored a pair of goals in Friday's 5-2 win over the Ottawa Senators.

He managed to snap an eight-game goalless drought in the process. These were also his first two goals he scored since signing his seven-year contract extension last week. Atkinson's first goal tied the game at one at the 11:22 mark of the first period, while his second tally of the night proved to be the game-winner (it gave the Jackets a 3-2 lead at the time). Atkinson finished the game with a plus-3 rating, two penalty minutes and two shots on goal in 18:20 of ice time. The Blue Jackets forward now has six goals and three assists in 19 games this season. Hopefully for fantasy owners this performance helps turn his year around.
Nov 24 - 9:54 PM

Brent Burns finally found the back of the net in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Sharks were down 4-1 in the second period when they got three straight goals from Burns, Chris Tierney and Mikkel Boedker to tie the game. The goal was the first of the season for Burns, who has been a major disappointment from a fantasy perspective. Burns finished the game with a minus-1 rating, two shots on goal and one hit in 24:14 of ice time. He has nine points in 21 games this season.
Nov 24 - 9:22 PM

Jonathan Marchessault scored a goal and two assists in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks.

Marchessault helped set up James Neal's power play goal in the first period that gave the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead at the time. He also registered an assist on William Karlsson's second goal of the game. Marchessault played the hero in overtime, as he gave Vegas the win by scoring 1:21 into the extra frame. He now has six points in his last two games and eight points in his last four. The 26-year-old is up to seven goals and 18 points in 18 games this season.
Nov 24 - 9:18 PM

Marian Gaborik will make his 2017-18 debut on Friday night.

Gaborik has been sidelined with a knee injury all season, but he's finally ready to go tonight. The Kings forward was once considered one of the premiere talents in the NHL, but his stock has dropped significantly. Don't expect him to have any value in standard leagues this season.
Nov 24 - 8:59 PM

Vladislav Namestnikov found the back of the net in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals.

Namestnikov opened the scoring with a power play goal at the 1:22 mark of the first period, but it was the only offense the Lightning could muster in this one. He's now accumulated 11 points in his last 10 games. He's up to 10 goals and 22 points in 22 contests in 2017-18.
Nov 24 - 7:52 PM

Marian Gaborik (knee) might be able to make his season debut Friday night.

Kings coach John Stevens said that he would consult with the trainers before a final decision on Gaborik's availability was made. Still, even if Gaborik doesn't end up returning on Friday, it's clear that he's very close. If Gaborik does play on Friday, it might be on a line with Jonny Brodzinski and Jussi Jokinen.
Nov 24 - 3:36 PM

Alex Stalock will be Minnesota's starter on Friday afternoon against Colorado.

Stalock is 1-2-1 with a 2.56 GAA and .927 save percentage in five games this season. He turned aside 40 of 43 shots against Washington in his last start on Nov. 18.
Nov 24 - 2:27 PM

Carter Hutton will be in net for the Blues on Friday against Nashville.

Hutton has made the most of his limited playing time this season by posting a 4-0-0 record, 1.71 GAA, and .943 save percentage in five contests. St. Louis is facing his former team, the Nashville Predators, so this was as good a time as any to get Hutton a start. "This was targeted," Blues coach Mike Yeo said. "The back-to-back nights, a team he's familiar with – a player always has some extra motivation playing against a former team. We've got to factor in what's best for Jake, maybe an extra day between games for Jake and he can come back and play against Minnesota, a team he's had strong performances against. That was our thought process here."
Nov 24 - 2:09 PM

Scott Wedgewood will be between the pipes on Friday night versus Los Angeles.

Wedgewood has a 1-2-1 record, 2.93 GAA, and .909 save percentage in five contests this season. He's getting the nod because Antti Raanta is sidelined.
