Zach Parise has been firing a ton of shots on net, and they finally started to go in again on Tuesday in a 5-1 win against the Minnesota Wild.

Parise scored two goals and one assist today, giving him 14 points on the season (8G, 6A). You'd think he would have more tallies with a whopping 75 SOG on the season, though.

Brad Marchand is still on fire.

He posted a goal and three points during Sunday's 6-3 win over the Stars. He has three goals and seven points over his last five games alone. Marchand is up to 27 goals and 64 points in just 62 games this season.

Jamie Benn did a bit of everything during Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Bruins.

The Captain picked up his 36th helper of the season, giving him 57 points through 58 games. He also fought David Backes, and it was quite the punch-out. Benn now has points in four of his last five games, with three goals and six points in that span.

Darnell Nurse is set to make his long-awaited return to the ice on Sunday against the Predators after missing the last 35 games.

Coach Todd McLellan has noted that he plans to ease the talented defender into the lineup, which means his minutes and matchups will be highly selected for. Be that as it may, you've got to start somewhere and this is as fine a place as any. Through 25 games this season he has three goals and five points along with 17 PIMs, 25 blocks and 60 blocks.

The flu bug appears to have bitten Ben Bishop, as he was absent from Sunday's practice with the team.

It's unclear if the veteran netminder will start Monday's match versus the Senators, but if he doesn't this is why. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.
Feb 26 - 12:46 PM

Corey Crawford will be scratched from his Sunday start due to illness.

Crawford has come down with the flu and will miss the game. Scott Darling will start in his place.

It looks like every team wanting to make a blockbuster deal with the Rangers is asking about J.T. Miller according to Larry Brooks of the New York Post.

According to Brooks, the answer has been no. Miller is having an outstanding season with 19 goals and 47 points in 61 games, already surpassing his career best of 43 set last season. At age 24, it looks like Miller is on an upward trend for a few more years at least. He should be owned in all formats of fantasy hockey.

Gabriel Landeskog collected two goals and an assist as the Colorado Avalanche beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-3 on Saturday.

Colorado's captain (and potential trade bait) also had a +2 rating, two PIM, two SOG and two hits in this one. He even generated three FW in four tries. The sturdy Swede broke a five-game pointless streak with this outburst.

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-3 on Saturday, giving Jeremy Smith his first win at 27 years old.

Smith had lost in his first two appearance, although now with a .914 save percentage in limited exposure, he hasn't really been too bad. The little-known goalie will turn 28 on April 13, so this has to be a real treat for him. Smith stopped 34 out of 37 shots in Saturday's victory.

With an authoritative power-play goal in the San Jose Sharks' 4-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, Logan Couture hit the 20-goal mark for the sixth time in his career.

Not bad for a guy who will turn 28 on March 28. He has some impressive peers; Joe Pavelski's hit the 2-0 on eight occasions while Patrick Marleau's done it 14 times. Couture also has 20 assists in 2016-17, giving him 40 points in 59 games this season.
Feb 26 - 1:29 AM

San Jose Sharks forward Patrick Marleau scored his 98th career GWG in his team's 4-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, placing him alone at sixth all-time.

Marleau went into the night tied with Guy Lafleur and Jarome Iginla, with the latter active (thus able to possibly tie or go back ahead of Marleau). There's no denying who's the most effective of the two this season overall, however, as Marleau now has 22 goals and seems almost ageless.
Feb 26 - 1:25 AM

Martin Jones got the win as the San Jose Sharks prevailed 4-1 on Saturday, but you can't bury the Vancouver Canucks for a lack of effort.

Jones faced 36 shots, stopping all but one. This win pushes him to 29-15-6 on the season. He's in a nice position to meet or exceed last season's career-high of 37 wins.
