Robin Lehner will be the Ottawa Senators' starter on Saturday.

Lehner will be making his third start in four contests. He has allowed the Senators' opponents to just one goal in each of his last two games.

Malcolm Subban suffered a fractured larynx when he took a puck to the throat during warm-ups in Portland, ME on Saturday.

Per the Boston Bruins, "He [Subban] is in stable condition and will be sidelined indefinitely. The team will provide additional details when they become available." Subban was having another fine season with AHL Providence, sporting a 14-8-5 record with .911 save percentage and 2.46 GAA.

Kyle Okposo scored his third career hat trick during Sunday's 8-1 win over the Oilers.

Two power play tallies and an even strength goal, plus an assist, amounts to quite the day for Okposo. He's now up to 15 goals and 36 points in his walk year.
Feb 7 - 6:26 PM

Connor McDavid was the only reason Oilers had to smile during Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Islanders.

That's because McDavid batted home his seventh goal and 18th point of the season. He's not picked up points in three of his last four games, totaling two goals and six points in that span.
Feb 7 - 6:17 PM

Ben Scrivens swept the weekend with a 2-1 shootout win over Carolina on Sunday.

Scrivens turned away 34 of 35 shots faced, including all seven on special teams. For the weekend he stopped 57 of 59 shots in the wins over Carolina and Edmonton. Mighty impressive for the veteran netminder trying to reestablish himself in the NHL.
Feb 7 - 6:04 PM

Another impressive milestone was reached when Alex Ovechkin potted his 30th goal of the season in Sunday's 3-2 win over Philadelphia.

Make that 11 straight seasons to begin his illustrious career with at least 30 goals, only Wayne Gretzky (13) and Mike Gartner (15) have accomplished the feat. Might as well start creating Ovie's Hall of Fame plaque now.
Feb 7 - 5:54 PM

Eric Staal will play in his 900th game on Sunday against Montreal.

Perhaps this is a fitting time for the milestone as the Hurricanes' captain has been long rumored to be amenable to a move up north. However this has easily been Staal's worst campaign since he was a rookie in 2003-04. This season he's posted just nine goals and 30 points and a woeful shooting percentage of just 6.9%.
Feb 7 - 1:43 PM

Mike Cammalleri will not be available against the Rangers and Oilers to begin the week.

This will mark five straight games missed for Cammalleri after Tuesday Feb. 9th, who has had a defiantly resurgent season with 14 goals and 38 points in 42 games for the Devils this season.
Feb 7 - 1:25 PM

Steve Mason will be between the pipes in Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals.

Mason is coming off a shootout loss to the New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon. The 27-year-old has a 12-12-7 record with a 2.68 goals-against-average and a .916 save percentage this season. The game gets underway at noon EST, so adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly.
Feb 7 - 11:42 AM

Braden Holtby will get the start in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Note that this game gets underway at 12:00 pm EST. Holtby is coming off a shootout win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon. He has a 32-5-3 record with a 2.06 goals-against-average and a .928 save percentage this season.
Feb 7 - 11:11 AM

Wayne Simmonds won't be suspended for his punch to the head of Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh.

Simmonds was given a match penalty on Saturday afternoon while McDonagh left the game for precautionary reasons and did not return. The NHL's Department of Player Safety decided the game misconduct was enough of a punishment for Simmonds. He will play in Sunday afternoon's tilt against the Washington Capitals. Insert him into your fantasy lineup.
Feb 7 - 11:06 AM

Drew Stafford accounted for three points in the Jets’ 4-2 win against the Avalanche on Saturday night.

Stafford scored twice on six shots and had an assist in 14:43. He had gone eight games without a goal. Stafford isn’t much of a fantasy (16 goals, 28 points) factor, though perhaps a team in real life would take him off the Jets’ hands if they took on some money? Mathieu Perreault (goal, assist) and Andrew Ladd picked up the other markers. Mark Scheifele amassed 12 penalty minutes.
