Mike McKenna will play between the pipes on Saturday.

Curtis McElhinney left Thursday's contest due to a lower-body injury, prompting Mike McKenna to play in an NHL game for the first time since Dec. 2, 2010. McKenna kicked out 17 of 18 shots in 40 minutes to help the Blue Jackets beat the New York Rangers. McElhinney's injury isn't believed to be serious, so McKenna's time as the Blue Jackets' de facto starter might be brief.
