The Kings have activated Jonathan Quick from injured reserve.

He's seen just one game of action this season, NHL or otherwise. Normally it'd be surprising to see him go straight into action, but both Dean Lombardi and Darryl Sutter to expect as much. We'll keep you posted on if he'll make his debut tonight against the Ducks.

Commissioner Gary Bettman has decided to uphold Antoine Vermette's 10-game suspension.

Per GM Dean Lombardi, Jonathan Quick's long-awaited activation off I/R may come as soon as Saturday.

Which would be in time for today's match with the Ducks. Lombardi was cagey, to say the least, about the proverbial odds of his top netminder's return. But we've known that this was around the time he was potentially capable of coming back. We'll know more soon enough, so stay tuned!

Anaheim sent Dallas a conditional second rounder that can be upgrades to a first if the Ducks make it to the Conference Final and Eaves plays in at least half of the games. "I was a little disoriented because I was taking a pregame nap for the game tonight," Eaves said, referring to when he found out about the trade. "It got me out of bed really quick, that’s for sure. I was excited. Your world gets turned upside down real quick. I want to get out there as soon as possible, and fortunately we have an afternoon game tomorrow, so I’m getting ready for that." Eaves has 21 goals and 37 points in 59 contests this season, which already represents career-highs for him in goals and points.
