Chris Kreider scored for the Rangers in their 7-1 thrashing of the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.
After being embarrassed by the Penguins the night before, the Rangers had some extra jump in their step Saturday night. With Tomas Hertl out with an injury, Kreider has the chance to really make a case for himself in the Calder trophy race. He now has a team-leading 11 goals, which is tied for second among rookies, and he has 23 points, good for third. He also had four shots on goal and a fighting major. Dominic Moore scored twice, with Brad Richards, Brian Boyle, Carl Hagelin (goal, assist) and Benoit Pouliot notching the others.
