Jeff Zatkoff will be in goal for Pittsburgh against San Jose Thursday night.

The Penguins play in Anaheim on Friday, so Marc-Andre Fleury will probably play in that contest. Zatkoff made 30 stops in a 4-1 win over Los Angeles on Jan. 30 in his last outing.
Mar 6 - 6:12 PM

Patrick Kane handed out three assists in the Blackhawks 3-2 win over Colorado on Wednesday.

Kane was magic all night long in facilitating all of the Blackhawk goals for his fourth multi-point effort in the last five games. The Hawks superstar is officially on fire with 11 points in his last six games. Jonathan Toews, Bryan Bickell and Andrew Shaw were all benefactors with goals thanks to Kane’s outstanding play.
Nov 27 - 12:12 AM

Blake Comeau scored a hat trick in Pittsburgh's 4-3 overtime win over Toronto.

Comeau scored a goal in the first, second and overtime periods to lead the Penguins to victory. With the long-term injury to Pascal Dupuis, Comeau has had the opportunity to play a bigger role with the club. The 28-year-old now has eight goals and 13 points in 20 games this season. He could be a sneaky add if he keeps playing on Pittsburgh's top two lines.
Nov 26 - 11:25 PM

Roberto Luongo stopped all 11 shots he faced but was also injured in Florida's 1-0 win over Carolina.

Luongo left the game with an undisclosed injury after making a great glove save on Victor Rask. Al Montoya entered the game and made 22 saves to complete the shutout. We will continue to update you on Luongo's injury. He should be considered day-to-day right now.
Nov 26 - 11:18 PM

Steve Stamkos scored a goal and two assists in Tampa Bay's 4-3 win over the Rangers on Wednesday night.

Stamkos has now registered a point in nine of his last 10 games. The 24-year-old sniper now has 15 goals and 27 points in 23 games. He's on pace to score 53 goals this season, and if stays healthy, it shouldn't surprise anyone if he surpasses that number. Ryan Callahan (twice) and Nikita Kucherov also scored for the Lightning.
Nov 26 - 10:57 PM

Rick Nash scored a goal and an assist in the Rangers' 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay.

Nash picked up an assist on Mats Zuccarello's first period goal and he added his own to cut Tampa's lead to 4-3 in the third. The 30-year-old is having a big bounce-back season this year. Nash has 15 goals and 23 points in 21 games this season. He is currently on pace to score 59 goals this season. He probably won't reach that number, but if he stays healthy, there's an outside chance he could score 50.
Nov 26 - 10:53 PM

Claude Giroux scored a goal and an assist in Philadelphia's 5-2 loss to Detroit on Wednesday.

His second period goal tied the game at one, but it was all downhill from there for Philadelphia. The 26-year-old has been solid this season. Giroux now has seven goals and 19 assists in 21 games this season. The Flyers are in a major slump. They have now lost six of their last seven games.
Nov 26 - 10:36 PM

Pavel Datsyuk scored two goals in Detroit's 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Datsyuk made his return from a groin injury tonight after missing his team's last four games. He made an immediate impact for Detroit. The 36-year-old has already missed 11 games because of shoulder and groin injuries, but he's been extremely productive when he's played. Datsyuk has seven goals and 13 points in 11 games this season. The veteran still produces at an elite level but he comes with some risk.
Nov 26 - 10:31 PM

Alex Ovechkin scored two goals in Washington's 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Islanders.

Both Ovechkin's goals came on the power play. The 29-year-old has 11 goals and 20 points in 21 games this season. Ovechkin has registered over a point-per-game in eight of his nine NHL seasons and he should reach that mark again this season. If he stays healthy, he's a good bet to hit 80 points. Six of Ovechkin's 11 goals have been scored on the man-advantage.
Nov 26 - 10:08 PM

John Tavares scored the overtime winner in the Islanders' 3-2 win over Washington.

The Islanders never trailed in this game. With Caps' forward Nicklas Backstrom in the box, John Tavares beat Braden Holtby in overtime. The 24-year-old has nine goals and 21 points in 22 games this season. Tavares played 21:38 in the game and registered four shots on goal. Anders Lee and Travis Hamonic also scored for the Islanders.
Nov 26 - 10:01 PM

Martin Brodeur will practice with the St. Louis Blues on a tryout.

He will join the team on Friday and practice with them through early next week. The Blues made the move after losing Brian Elliott to injury on Tuesday night.
Nov 26 - 5:08 PM

Coach Ken Hitchcock said Brian Elliott is "week-to-week" with a lower-body injury.

"We'll kind of address it every Sunday and see how he is," Hitchcock said. "That's about as close as I can give you right now. He's had this type of injury before and has recovered quickly and nicely so we're hoping for the former but we don't want to say it's five or six days and then it's 14 so we'll leave it at that." He also hinted that goalies need their knees, so that's likely what he injured on Tuesday night.
