Philadelphia did not provide an update on the status of Ivan Provorov, which is a little concerning.

Provorov went hard into the boards on Friday night just before Sean Couturier's goal and may have hurt his shoulder. He was back on the ice for his next shift for a few seconds before he left following Michal Neuvirth's glove save on Sidney Crosby. An update on Provorov may not come until close to puck drop on Sunday afternoon. He would be a big loss for the Flyers if he is unable to play in Game 6.

Patrick Eaves is expected to be ready by mid-October, according to Ducks GM Bob Murray.

Eavesm underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum last month. He was injured during his rehab after he was diagnosed with Gullain-Barre Syndrome, which is a muscle-weakening autoimmune disorder, earlier this season. Eaves is healthy now, according to Murray, after he skated in only two games in 2017-18.

Alexander Wennberg (upper body) will be back in lineup on Saturday afternoon.

Cory Schneider will start Game 5 against Washington.

That shouldn't come as a surprise, as Schneider has been superb in his previous two starts in the playoffs. He has posted a 1-1 record with a 1.67 goals-against average and .951 save percentage against Tampa Bay. The Devils need a win to stay alive in the postseason.

Joe Thornton (knee) may not be ready to play in Game 1 of the second round against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Thornton has been skating with his teammates, but he apparently does not appear to be up to full speed yet. Against a fast and relentless checking team like the Golden Knights, Thornton may be at a disadvantage if he were to rejoin the San Jose lineup before he can skate at his maximum. There's still some time for that to change, though.
