Coach Ken Hitchcock is looking for more from T.J. Oshie.

"He's been like the rest of our players," Hitchcock said. "He's been fine, but fine won't beat Chicago. Gonna have to be better. We're very much sum of parts. Our sum of parts just have to be better in certain elements. The strength of our game has to be more consistent." Oshie has no points and a minus-3 rating in three contests since returning to the lineup from an upper-body injury. He finally picked up his first shots of the series, with three, in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Blackhawks in Game 4.

The Washington Capitals acquired defenseman Tim Gleason in a trade that sent Jack Hillen and a fourth-round pick to the Carolina Hurricanes.

It hasn't been a great season for Gleason, who has seven points and a -18 rating (although with 44 PIM) in 55 games so far in 2014-15. Playing for Washington may at least give him a boost, though he's never scored more than 21 points in any single NHL season.

Newly-acquired Kimmo Timonen could play a key role with the Blackhawks down the stretch.

The Hawks have been riddled with injuries on their blueline. Johnny Oduya and Trevor van Riemsdyk are out in the short-term and Michal Roszival has lost his effectiveness. Enter the 40-year-old Timonen. Once he is cleared to play (blood clots), and that could come as early as Monday, he will play a prominent role in a five-on-five role as well as on the Hawks' second power play. Consider picking him up next week.
