John Klingberg had a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Klingberg did all of his damage in the first period, as he opened the scoring at the 9:15 mark of the frame before assisting on Tyler Seguin's power play marker 10 minutes later. The Stars defenseman has now picked up at least one point in each of his team's first three games. He has two goals and four points in 2017-18. He'll continue to be a strong offensive option on the back end. He's a must-own in all standard fantasy leagues.

Auston Matthews will sit out the Maple Leafs’ tilt with the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.

The Maple Leafs star is dealing with an upper-body injury from Saturday night's win over Pittsburgh. With 13 goals and 13 assists in 26 games, the Leafs will surely miss the 20-year-old when they take on Connor McDavid and the Oilers.
Dec 10 - 6:35 PM

Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) has been activated off the injured reserve list.

That sets the stage for Fleury to return on Tuesday, although the bigger game will be on Thursday against his old team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Fleury was off to a great start before the concussion with a 3-1-0 record, 2.48 GAA, and .925 save percentage in four contests. Vegas has done remarkably well over his absence and has enjoyed some great goaltending performances along the way, but Fleury should resume his role as the clear starter now that he's healthy.

Look for Alex Stalock to play between the pipes Sunday night.

This will be Stalock's first chance to bounce back since he allowed seven goals against Winnipeg on Nov. 27. It's also a contest against his former team, the San Jose Sharks.
Dec 10 - 4:19 PM

Kari Lehtonen will get the nod for the Stars on Monday.

Lehtonen stopped 24 of 26 shots on Thursday, but Dallas lost that contest to St. Louis 3-0. He has a 3-4-1 record, 2.71 GAA, and .903 save percentage in 10 contests this season.

Auston Matthews (upper body) is questionable for Sunday's game.

Matthews was struck in the head towards the end of Saturday's game, which is concerning. However, Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock seemed to paint Matthews' issue as minor. "He’s one of those guys that’s bumped and bruised here today," Babcock said. "So we’ll just go through it. We’ve had a couple guys that are – you know, it’s the season, you’re playing hockey. You see who’s available at game time." We probably won't know more about Matthews availability until the pregame warmups.

Alex Pietrangelo was injured while blocking a shot on Saturday.

Pietrangelo will miss Sunday's game and then attempt to skate on Monday. He's a big part of the Blues' defense, so this injury is troubling on its own. However, it's particularly bad news for St. Louis after it was already revealed that Jaden Schwartz suffered a major ankle injury on Saturday that will sidelined him for a minimum of six weeks.
Dec 10 - 12:30 PM

Jaden Schwartz has sustained an ankle injury that will sideline him for quite a while.

Exactly how long Schwartz will be gone for isn't known, but he won't be re-evaluated for six weeks so clearly this is a long-term issue. Schwartz was hurt while blocking a shot on Saturday. Things originally sounded far more optimistic because the initial X-Ray came back negative, but presumably things looked worse upon further examination. He has been moved to the injured reserve list.

Look for Ryan Getzlaf to return to action on Monday after missing six weeks with a fractured zygomatic bone.

Getzlaf has been practicing of late between Corey Perry and Rickard Rakell as the Ducks are starting to get healthy again. Getzlaf has played in only six contests this season and has a goal and seven points thus far. Needless to say, he has been missed for both his play on the ice and his leadership on the team. Get ready to activate him.
