David Pastrnak scored three goals and picked up an assist in a 6-4 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Bruins were trailing 4-1 just 51 seconds into the third period but were able to turn the table on the Hurricanes with Pastrnak picking up a hat trick in the final frame. Pastrnak has 13 points over his last seven games, bringing him to 27 goals and 68 points in 68 games this season. Brad Marchand, Danton Heinen and Matt Grzelcyk also scored in the win.

Conor Sheary is listed as week-to-week due to an upper-body injury.

Sheary is projected to be a top-nine forward for the Sabres this campaign. He posted 18 goals and 30 points in 79 games with Pittsburgh in 2017-18.

Dillon Dube scored three goals on four shots in a 7-4 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night.

Dube got off to a quick start in his preseason debut when he buried the opening goal just 23 seconds into the game. He then got off to another quick start in the second period when he scored his second goal of the game after 36 seconds. The 2016 second round pick wasted little time to complete the hat-trick as he beat Mikko Koskinen less than four minutes later. If Dube could continue to produce throughout the rest of the preseason, he could build a strong case to be on Calgary’s opening night roster. Andrew Mangiapane scored the only other Flames’ goal in the losing cause.

Kevin Fiala scored a goal and four assists in one of Nashville's 5-3 win over the Florida Panthers.

This victory was one of two wins for the Preds in a split-squad contest with the Panthers tonight. Nashville's top line of Fiala, Johansen and Forsberg combined for five goals, seven assists and a plus-12 rating tonight. The 22-year-old Fiala is entering into just his second full season in the NHL and will be looking to improve upon last season's totals of 23 goals and 48 points. If the Predators start the regular-season with this top-line, Fiala would be a bargain at his current 13th round ADP.

Darnell Nurse has signed a two-year, $6.4 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers.

Nurse was a restricted free agent and missed the start of training camp as a result of the contract negotiations. That's all in the past though and what little time he missed isn't likely to have an impact once the regular season starts. He'll could take a moderate step forward offensively this season after finishing 2017-18 with 26 points.

Travis Sanheim (upper body) is expected to be sidelined for roughly a week.

Sanheim was hurt Sunday afternoon when he was hit by the Islanders' Matt Martin in the second period of their preseason game. It appeared that Sanheim's injury was to his shoulder. If there's a silver lining, it's that this happened early in the preseason, so Sanheim can afford to miss a week without it coming close to costing him any regular season games.

Aleksander Barkov has been named captain of the Florida Panthers.

Barkov is the 10th captain in Panthers franchise history. Derek MacKenzie wore the "C" for the previous two seasons. "Aleksander Barkov is ready to be the captain of the Florida Panthers," said Florida GM Dale Tallon. "He has all of the qualities of a great leader: unrivaled work ethic, wisdom beyond his years and the respect and admiration of his teammates. Aleksander's determination and passion for the game have made him one of the NHL's best and most complete players."

Max Pacioretty scored a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-2 preseason win over the Arizona Coyotes.

The Golden Knights acquired Pacioretty from the Canadiens last week, and he seems to be fitting in quite nicely. All of his damage came in the first period, as he set up Jake Bischoff's goal (2-0) before adding one of his own 4:39 later to give his team a 3-1 lead at the time. The 29-year-old struggled last season with Montreal (he had 17 goals and 37 points in 64 games with the Canadiens), but there's a good chance he'll bounce back nicely with Vegas this season. Jonathan Marchessault (twice), William Karlsson, Nicolas Hague and Erik Brannstrom also scored for the Golden Knights.

Josh Morrissey signed a two-year, $6.3 million extension with the Winnipeg Jets.

That works out to an annual average value of $3.15 million. Morrissey was a restricted free agent before signing this deal. The 23-year-old had seven goals and 26 points in 81 games last season. He's one of Winnipeg's more reliable defenders, but he doesn't provide much in terms of fantasy value.

Flyers’ Travis Sanheim suffered an upper-body injury during the second period of the preseason opener on Sunday afternoon against the New York Islanders.

Sanheim appeared to injure his shoulder after taking an illegal hit from Islanders forward Matt Martin at the 9:53 mark of the second period. He left the ice under his power and immediately headed to the dressing room following the hit. The Flyers have already reported that he will not return to the game. The 22-year old entered the preseason looking to solidify himself in Philadelphia’s defensive top-six after 10 points and 15:35 TOI in 49 games in 2017-18.

Victor Rask (hand) is expected to be out for months, according to head coach Rod Brind’Amour.

Rask sliced his hand while preparing food in the kitchen. It’s a significant loss for a Hurricanes team that struggles to score goals. He had 14 goals and 31 points in 71 games last season.

Jake DeBrusk scored the game-winning goal in the shootout during Saturday's 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames in the O.R.G. China Games.

The Bruins jumped out to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals by Trent Frederic, Ryan Donato and John Moore. All three goals came during a 1:55 span late in the opening frame. The Flames managed to respond with three unanswered goals of their own, but DeBrusk took care of the game in the shootout. DeBrusk is coming off a solid rookie season that saw him put up 16 goals and 43 points in 70 games. The 21-year-old certainly has the ability to top those numbers if he stays healthy in 2018-19.
