Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 33 of 35 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.

Golden Knights forward Jonathan Marchessault opened the scoring just 35 seconds into the game, but they needed their goaltender to bail them out on several occasions. Fleury was terrific in this game, especially in the third period when he turned aside 15 of the 16 shots directed his way. With his team up 3-2 midway through the third frame, the veteran made two incredible saves on Mark Scheifele to keep his team ahead. Fleury improves his record to 10-6 this postseason. The Golden Knights lead this best-of-seven series 2-1. If Vegas ends up winning the Stanley Cup, Fleury will likely come away with the Conn Smythe Trophy given to the MVP of the playoffs.

Anthony Beauvillier has been moved off the top line with the Islanders and has been replaced by Andrew Ladd.

That is what no points in four games will get you coming out of the gate as Beauvillier has struggled in the early going. Coach Barry Trotz thought that Beauvillier was trying too hard and was forcing things and told the winger that he was considering switching up the lines. "When he talked to me, it was just about to get me to loosen up a little bit and play to my identity," said Beauvillier. "In his opinion, I’m a top-six forward but he might change it to spark things up. Right now, my game is not on point." Beauvillier is seeing third line time with Valtteri Filppula and Cal Clutterbuck. He had 15 goals and 36 points last season and should be back as a top-six forward quickly.

Patrik Laine scored a goal during Sunday's 3-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

In his typical spot on the left circle, Laine took a feed from Blake Wheeler and one-timed a blast into an open net for his second goal of the year. Micheal Ferland tied the game up three minutes later but the Jets got the next two goals to come away with the win. Laine's goal snapped his three-game pointless streak and he now finds himself at three points in five games.

The Anaheim Ducks will have Ryan Miller in goal on Sunday versus the St. Louis Blues.

It will mark Miller's first start of the season after he came into Saturday night's game against Dallas in relief of John Gibson. Miller stopped all six shots he faced in that contest.
Oct 14 - 6:37 PM

Petr Mrazek will start Sunday night against Winnipeg.

The Hurricanes had Curtis McElhinney between the pipes for Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over Minnesota, so Mrazek will play the second half of the back-to-back situation. He has a 1-0-1 record this season with a 3.53 goals-against average and .841 save percentage.
Oct 14 - 5:29 PM

Kyle Palmieri potted two goals in a 3-2 win against San Jose on Sunday afternoon.

Palmieri has scored two goals in each of New Jersey's first three games of the year. In 2017-18, he didn't score six markers until his 21st appearance. According to NHL Public Relations, he set a Devils' franchise record for the most goals by a single player through the team's opening three games of a season.
Oct 14 - 4:19 PM

Laurent Brossoit will be in goal for Sunday's game against Carolina.

This will be Brossoit's first playing time of 2018-19 and first as a member of the Jets. "(He had a) really good training camp and he's been a battler in practice," coach Paul Maurice said. "That's something you ask from your guy in your back-up position so when you put him in, the guys are excited to play in front of him. Our guys are tonight. He's earned a start."
Oct 14 - 1:34 PM

Erik Karlsson will indeed be in the lineup on Sunday afternoon.

Karlsson was on the ice for the pregame warmups alongside defense partner Marc-Edouard Vlasic after he missed Saturday's practice because of an illness.
Oct 14 - 12:54 PM

Mike Matheson will have a hearing Monday for interference/unsportsmanlike conduct on Vancouver's Elias Pettersson.

Matheson slammed Pettersson to the ice after he delivered a hit to the rookie forward behind the net. He was not penalized on the play, but could be facing a suspension after Pettersson suffered a head injury.
Oct 14 - 12:23 PM

Dustin Byfuglien won't play Sunday night because of an upper-body injury.

Byfuglien is listed as day-to-day. He left practice early on Saturday, but coach Paul Maurice still believed that the big defender would be able to play against Carolina. That won't be the case.
Oct 14 - 12:05 PM

Justin Schultz (lower body) was seen leaving the arena Saturday night on crutches and in a walking boot.

Uh oh. That is not good news. Schultz fell awkwardly after he was knocked down by Tomas Plekanec and while he skated off on his own, he was in pain. It appeared to be a foot injury and Jack Johnson called it 'gruesome'. There should be some news in the next day or two but it does not look good for the defenseman as he could be lost long-term to the Penguins.
Oct 14 - 8:41 AM

Ryan Getzlaf skated for the first time on Saturday since injuring his groin a week ago.

That's great news for the Ducks who have been struck hard by the injury bug at the start of the season. He is unlikely to play on Sunday but his return could be early next week. "It’s hard to say because you talk to the doctors and originally it was going to be 2-3 weeks, 3-4 weeks, those kinds of thing," he said. "Obviously, we’re ahead of schedule. We can’t put a timeline on it because everybody’s body is going to heal differently. We’ll make our adjustments." Stay tuned.
