He has recovered from the left foot fracture that kept him out of the lineup and coach Jon Cooper isn't wasting time getting him back into action. "He's got to get that first one in at some point," said Cooper. "There was a thought we might play him the prior game, but get him a really good practice yesterday, he did really well so tonight's the night." Vasilevskiy has a 9-3-1 record this season with a 2.30 GAA and .927 save percentage.

Ondrej Kase scored his team’s first three goals of Wednesday night’s contest and the Ducks beat the Stars by a score of 6-3.

The hat trick marked the second straight three point game for the 23-year old winger. He has now amassed eight goals and 14 points in 15 games this season.

Sean Couturier picked up two goals and one assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames.

Couturier registered the primary assist on James van Riemsdyk's power-play goal in the second period (2-2). He then added the go-ahead goal (3-2) less than a minute later, and his shorthanded marker gave the Flyers a 5-3 lead in the third frame. Philly held on to that two-goal late into the third period, but Calgary managed to tie the game thanks to two quick goals inside the final two minutes of regulation. Johnny Gaudreau then won the game in overtime for Calgary. Couturier has 12 goals and 23 points in 27 games this season.

Johnny Gaudreau scored a goal and two assists in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gaudreau helped set up Sean Monahan's power-play tally in the second period. With the Flames down 5-3 with just over one minute remaining in regulation, Gaudreau helped set up Rasmus Andersson's goal (5-4) before Monahan was able to force overtime. Gaudreau ended the game just 35 seconds into the extra frame. The 25-year-old now has 13 goals and 42 points in 32 games this season. The Flames forward has five multi-point efforts in his last six outings.
