Evgenii Dadonov scored a goal in Thursday’s 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

If you missed Dadonov’s goal, we highly encourage you to find the highlight. Mike Hoffman started the sequence with a toe-drag pass to Sasha Barkov before Barkov fed Dadonov with a backhander that he buried after putting a quick deke on Cam Talbot. Dadonov now has goals in three straight games, giving him a team leading seven goals and 14 points in 12 games this season. Colton Sceviour, Nick Bjugstad and Jonathan Huberdeau also scored in the win.
Nov 8 - 9:50 PM

Kasperi Kapanen scored twice, including the game-winning goal, in a 5-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

Kapanen went pointless in four previous games before scoring twice against the Sharks Thursday night. Kapanen's game-winner was a shorthanded marker, making it the first special teams goal (power play or penalty kill) he's scored all season. The Leafs also got goals from Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and Josh Leivo.
Nov 16 - 1:37 AM

Joe Pavelski scored a goal and an assist in a 5-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

Pavelski extended his points streak to three games despite the loss (4g, 3a). The captain scored a power play goal to tie the game in the first period before assisting on Marc-Edouard Vlasic's first of the season.
Nov 16 - 1:37 AM

Carey Price made 43 saves on 45 shots in a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.

Price was winless in his last three starts, but Thursday's performance was a return to form as he held down the fort for the Canadiens with a 43-save performance. Price now has a record of 6-4-3 with a 2.99 GAA and an .899 saye percentage.
Nov 16 - 12:16 AM

Matthew Tkachuk scored two goals in a 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night.

The winger now has seven points in his last six games for the Flames. Thursday night's effort was also his fifth multi-point game of the season and first since Nov. 1. Tkachuk's a must-have if he's somehow still available on your waiver wire.
Nov 16 - 12:16 AM

Darcy Kuemper made 44 saves on 45 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.

Kuemper's 44 saves were the most he's made in a game this season. The Coyotes' two goals were just enough for him to get his fourth win of the year. His record improves to 4-4-1 with a 2.77 GAA and a .917 save percentage.
Nov 15 - 11:52 PM

Brock Boeser (groin) won't be back on Saturday.

The Canucks will host Montreal following a six-game road trip. Boeser missed all six matches during that span because of a groin injury and coach Travis Green said the Vancouver forward has not resumed skating yet.
Nov 15 - 11:28 PM

Drake Batherson scored a goal in Thursday’s 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Batherson was all over the ice, creating chances and skating circles around the Red Wings. He was eventually rewarded for his efforts with a power play marker with the assist going to Matt Duchene. The 20-year-old forward was a fourth-round pick from 2017 and picked up 20 points in 14 AHL games prior to being recalled. He has serious offensive upside and could be worth picking up in some leagues. Keep your eye on him.
Nov 15 - 10:24 PM

Anthony Beauvillier scored three goals and picked up an assist in Thursday’s 7-5 win over the New York Rangers.

Beauvillier started tonight with just one goal in 16 games to open the season but finishes it with just five Islanders having more goals than him. He combined with Valtteri Filppula for the first two and he finished off his hat trick with a power play goal 5:13 into the second period. Beauvillier then ended his night with an assist on Leo Komarov’s third period goal. The 21-year-old winger was a popular sleeper pick to open the season. Keep an eye on him. Brock Nelson, Anders Lee and Cal Clutterbuck also scored in the win.
Nov 15 - 10:08 PM

Mike Hoffman picked up an assist in Thursday’s 7-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Hoffman got the primary assist on Aaron Ekblad’s power play marker in the second period, extending his point-streak to 14 games, a franchise record. The winger was acquired in an off-season trade with the Ottawa Senators after having a falling out with former Senators defender Erik Karlsson. The 28-year-old is up to 16 points in 16 games as a member of the Panthers. Nick Bjugstad and Keith Yandle also scored in this one.
Nov 15 - 10:00 PM

Brian Elliott gave up two goals on 25 shots before leaving with an injury in Thursday’s 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils.

It was a solid outing from Elliott who didn’t get any help offensively from his teammates tonight. To add insult to injury, Philadelphia’s starter was forced to leave the game after Kyle Palmieri beat him on a wraparound with what appears to be a lower-body injury. He’ll see his record fall to 6-7-0 with a 2.59 goals-against-average and a .911 save percentage. The Flyers appear to have the worst luck when it comes to injuries suffered by their goaltenders.
Nov 15 - 9:57 PM

Keith Kinkaid stopped all 29 shots he faced in Thursday’s 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Kinkaid was sharp tonight, making a few nice stops and getting a little lucky with one or two going off the post. With the Devils leading 1-0 midway through the final period, New Jersey’s goalkeeper made a nice save on a redirect by Claude Giroux to keep his team ahead, arguably his best of the night. It’s Kinkaid’s third shutout of the season, giving him an 8-5-1 record, a 2.60 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage.
