Robinson Cano went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run but the Mariners lost in walk-off fashion, 6-5, to the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Cano had been slumping to start the season, coming into the night 4-for-29 (.138) with two singles and two doubles. The Mariners are certainly happy with the power display on Tuesday. He took David Huff yard with a runner on in the first inning and doubled off of Juan Nicasio in the sixth. Cano, now in the second year of a 10-year, $240 million contract, tied a career-low with 14 home runs last season. Apr 15 - 2:08 AM
