Making his first start since May 31, Ricky Nolasco surrendered five runs on four hits over 2 2/3 innings in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.
Since late May, Nolasco had been sitting on the disabled list due to an ankle injury, but he returned to the Twin pen earlier in the week and started against the Royals on Sunday. The southpaw struck out two and walked three during his limited time on the mound. There's not a ton to analyze here, given how much time Nolasco missed. For what it's worth, he finished the season with a 6.75 ERA and 1.71 WHIP over 34 2/3 innings (eight starts). Oct 4 - 6:52 PM
