Darren Oliver has not allowed a run in four appearances.
Oliver got off to a rough start in 2013 but seems to be settling in. His ERA was 6.23 on April 14 and is now 3.00.
Apr 25 - 8:40 AM
Darren Oliver took a line drive off his left forearm on Wednesday and will need a couple days off.
Oliver only suffered a bruise. The veteran southpaw has allowed two earned runs in 3 1/3 innings this season.

The Blue Jays announced Wednesday that Darren Oliver will be back with the club for the 2013 season.
The Blue Jays picked up Oliver's $3 million club option for 2013 in October, but the veteran left-hander indicated last month that he wanted a raise or a trade to the Rangers in order to come back for his 20th season in the big leagues. It appears that Oliver backed down, as he will return without a raise. The 42-year-old posted a 2.06 ERA and 52/15 K/BB ratio over 56 2/3 innings last season and should be a valuable late-inning arm for a team which is expected to contend in 2013.

T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports that while the Rangers have talked to the Blue Jays about left-hander Darren Oliver, a trade is unlikely to happen.
The Blue Jays picked up Oliver's $3 million option for 2013 earlier this winter, but his agent recently informed the club that his client will only continue his career if he gets a raise or a trade to the Rangers. With the Blue Jays not expected to give in to his demands, the 42-year-old left-hander may end up retiring. As of now, Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos is working under the assumption he won't be back.

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said it "would not surprise me" if Jose Reyes returned in late June.
Reyes had the walking boot on his left foot removed Tuesday and is evidently recovering a bit ahead of schedule, as he had been expected to sit out until around the All-Star break. The shortstop is still in the early stages of his recovery, though. A lot can happen over the next six weeks.

Rajai Davis (oblique) has been sent to Florida to start his rehab.
Davis hasn't played since May 10 due to a strained oblique. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons doesn't expect it to be a long-term injury, so it's possible he could return later this month.

Josh Johnson (triceps) will begin a rehab assignment Monday with High-A Dunedin.
Johnson has been on the DL since April 29, but he hasn't had any issues during his throwing program. He'll likely need 2-3 games before he's cleared to rejoin the Blue Jays' rotation. Johnson is on track for a return in the early part of June.

J.A. Happ (head, knee) is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks.
Happ will avoid throwing for a week before beginning to toss on flat ground. The Blue Jays are optimistic that the left-hander will be sidelined closer to four weeks. All things considered, that's about as good as Happ and the club could have hoped for.
May 9
6
Dustin McGowan
D.L.
Dustin McGowan (shoulder) will continue his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo.
McGowan allowed one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings with High-A Dunedin and notched four strikeouts. The Blue Jays can't count on him given his lengthy injury history, but he could be an option to join the bullpen later this month if all goes well.
May 17
7
Drew Hutchison
D.L.
Drew Hutchison (elbow) is on track to face live hitters in about three weeks.
Hutchison is currently making his way back from Tommy John surgery last August. While the 22-year-old right-hander is unlikely to see any game action until late in the season, he feels good about his progress. "You always want to do more but you know you have to follow the process and do what they tell you to do because that’s what’s in your best interest," said Hutchison. "I feel good, which is good, but you also realize that it’s the process and you need to follow the process."

Kyle Drabek
D.L.
Kyle Drabek (elbow) expects to throw live batting practice in the next week or two.
Drabek threw a bullpen session Monday in extended spring training. He's coming back from the second Tommy John surgery of his career, so the Blue Jays figure to take things slow, but he could be looking at a return around midseason if all goes well.
