Jarrod Saltalamacchia launched a walk-off, two-run home run to end Sunday's 4-2 win over the Royals.
After Joakim Soria surrendered a lead-off single to Tyler Collins to open the ninth inning, Salty stepped to the plate and promptly smacked a two-run homer to send the fans home happy. Despite those heroics, Saltalamacchia is still slashing just .206/.329/.447 over 141 at-bats. Six of his nine home runs came in April. He has a little value as a backstop bench option in very deep AL-only formats, but can be safely avoided in most mixed leagues. Jul 17 - 4:03 PM
