Ervin Santana notched another quality start on Saturday but took the loss in Kansas City's 2-1 setback in Oakland.
Santana spun seven innings of two-run ball, striking out five and allowing four hits and three walks. He didn't surrender a home run, which has been perhaps the biggest reason he's turned around his career in Kansas City. After leading the league in long-balls allowed in 2012 with 39, Santana has given up just six thus far; and three of those were in his season debut. The resurgent right-hander is 3-2 with a 2.77 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over eight starts.

Ervin Santana earned a quality start on Tuesday but took a no-decision, allowing three runs over six innings as the Royals lost to the Orioles.
It was Santana's worst start since his first start of the season, but even in his worst starts he hasn't been all that bad. Santana's success has been due mainly to his ability to limit the long ball -- he's allowed just one home run since that opening start. He now owns a 2.36 ERA and 1.07 WHIP and should be owned in all leagues. He'll take the mound Sunday against the Yankees in his next start.

Thursday's game between the Rays and Royals was postponed due to snow.
The game was called in the bottom of the fourth inning, so none of the stats will count. It's a tough blow for Ervin Santana owners, as he had seven strikeouts over four scoreless innings. A makeup date has yet to be announced.

Ervin Santana was dominant in Saturday’s win over the Indians, allowing only six hits in seven scoreless innings.
Santana racked up five strikeouts on the evening without walking a batter. He’s been wildly impressive through his first five starts with Kansas City, compiling a 3-1 record, 2.00 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 31/5 K/BB ratio in 36 innings. Santana will look to keep rolling when he does battle against the Rays at home on Thursday.

Salvador Perez left Monday's game with a right hip injury.
Perez suffered the injury when he bumped into post at the Astros' dugout while chasing a foul popup. There's no word on the severity of the ailment, but the Royals should provide an update after the game. George Kottaras took Perez's spot behind the plate.

Jarrod Dyson has been diagnosed with a mild high ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks.
The 28-year-old speedster had been off to a decent start this season, hitting .268/.286/.561 with a homer, eight RBI and six stolen bases through his first 41 at-bats. While the timetable for recovery is short, any injury to the ankle is something to very closely monitor for a player such as Dyson who derives all of his fantasy value from his speed. David Lough could be worth a look in very deep leagues while Dyson is out.
