Scott Kazmir walked seven and gave up five runs in 5 2/3 innings Friday against the Padres.
One of those walks was intentional, but since he also hit a batter, maybe that evens out. Kazmir hadn't been any good coming in, but it was homers, not walks, that have been the main problem (he had issued 13 -- one intentional -- in 46 innings). Of course, there were homers, too, tonight. He gave up his 11th and 12th of the season to Derek Norris and Christian Bethancourt. He's just not a very good pitcher right now. May 21 - 2:23 AM
