Jeff Francis has decided to retire from baseball.
Francis, who turns 35 in January, has decided to hang it up after 11 seasons in the majors. The southpaw is best remembered for his time with the Rockies and looks back on his experience in Denver fondly. "It's a special place," said Francis. "I spent the bulk of my time there. It was at times an up-and-down career, but to have the time in Denver playing in the World Series, and playing for a team that grew up together, that's pretty satisfying."
