Batting third for the first time this year, Alex Gordon went 2-for-4 and homered Thursday against the Royals.
Gordon had managed 23 RBI in 30 games as a leadoff man, so it's not like his power was going to waste up there. Still, the Royals opted to move him, largely because they've gotten lousy production out of the middle-of-the-order guys. It doesn't change Gordon's fantasy value much either way. He'll lose a few at-bats, but he will, in theory anyway, get to hit with more guys on. May 9 - 10:11 PM
