Reds signed INF Jack Hannahan to a two-year, $4 million contract with a club option for 2015.

It was originally reported as a one-year deal, but the Reds wound up having to go a little longer. Hannahan will serve as Todd Frazier's primary backup at third base in 2013 while also providing depth all around the Cincinnati infield. Cueto threw five shutout innings Tuesday in a rehab start with the Low-A Daytona Dragons and deemed himself fully healthy afterward. He was placed on the disabled list April 15 with a strained right lat and then later began experiencing oblique soreness. But all is well now.
