Ben Revere went 3-for-5 with a double as the Phillies beat the Marlins on Tuesday.

Revere scored two runs in the game while raising his average to .260. He was removed from the leadoff spot after his early struggles, rendering him relatively useless for fantasy purposes. He's begun to hit more in May and manager Charlie Manuel rewarded him by hitting him second Tuesday. He may finally be starting to show why the Phillies traded for him this past offseason. Ruiz was diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain of his hamstring and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. It's a tough blow for the Phillies, who just got Ruiz back from his suspension less than one month ago. Halladay, who had surgery last week to remove a bone spur in his shoulder and repair his torn rotator cuff, reported to extended spring training Monday to begin his rehab. General manager Ruben Amaro said Doc has pretty good range of motion and is "pretty positive." Obviously late August is so far away that it's just a rough timetable, but, given Halladay's famous work ethic, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him pitching later this season. May 22
