Danny Valencia launched a solo homer and smacked a double in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.
The 28-year-old is hitting a blistering .273/.319/.659 in 44 at-bats since being recalled from the minors in mid-May. He's also hit four homers and knocked in eight. Valencia isn't going to keep this up -- he has a career OPS below .700 -- but is worth plugging into deep AL-only lineups as long as he's hot.

Danny Valencia launched a two-run homer and drew a walk in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays.
Valencia, who was called up from the minors last week, has now homered in back-to-back games. The 28-year-old is getting a look out of the DH spot now that Adam Jones feels healthy enough to play center field, so give him a shot in AL-only leagues.

Orioles recalled 3B Danny Valencia from Triple-A Norfolk.
Valencia has had a big year for Norfolk, batting .306 with 11 home runs and 35 RBI in 40 games. He went deep seven times over his past 10 contests. Valencia figures to see some at-bats in the DH spot.

Despite plenty of big league experience, Valencia didn't have much of a shot at a bench spot. He'll provide depth at Triple-A while Manny Machado handles the hot corner.

Reimold has been sidelined for just over a month due to a straight right hamstring, but he's finally ready to return to game action. The 29-year-old should rejoin the Orioles' lineup by the end of the month.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that Jason Hammel (illness) is unlikely to start Tuesday against the Tigers.
Hammel was scratched from his start on Monday due to a stomach virus and is still getting his strength back. While Jake Arrieta is filling in on Monday, the Orioles could call up Zach Britton to start on Tuesday. Hammel is likely to be pushed back to Friday.

Chen, out since May 27 with a right oblique strain, threw off a full mound Monday and is scheduled to pitch a simulated game Thursday. The Orioles will likely want him to make at least one rehab start before coming off the disabled list.

Johnson will need at least three weeks of recovery time. He suffered the injury Wednesday night during a relief appearance against the Astros and will leave behind an 8.49 ERA. The Orioles have recalled outfielder Xavier Avery to fill the vacant roster spot.
