Aroldis Chapman earned his 12th save of the season Saturday in the Reds' 5-2 defeat of the Cubs.
Chapman also got a save on Friday and has seemingly bounced back from the struggles he experienced earlier this month. The hard-throwing lefty has a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 39/10 K/BB ratio in 23 innings this season.

Aroldis Chapman allowed a couple of baserunners, but struck out the side in the ninth inning on Friday to preserve a three-run lead and earn his 11th save of the season.
Chapman hasn't been nearly as dominant as he was a season ago, but has still posted a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 39/10 K/BB ratio through his first 23 innings. With Sean Marshall on the disabled list and Jonathan Broxton struggling, his job remains extremely secure.

Aroldis Chapman bounced back from Sunday's blown save by pitching a perfect ninth in a one-run game against the Mets on Monday.
Chapman struck out two in earning his ninth save. He had blown back-to-back opportunities.

Aroldis Chapman blew his second straight save chance Sunday in the Reds' loss to the Phillies.
Chapman entered with the Reds leading 2-1 and then gave up back-to-back solo homers to Erik Kratz and Freddy Galvis. The hard-throwing lefty hasn't enjoyed the cleanest May but is obviously still the Cincinnati closer. He'll try to bounce back in the next opportunity that he gets.

It's merely a procedural move. Ludwick has been ruled out until early July with a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

Reds trainer Paul Lessard said Wednesday that Chris Heisey (hamstring) is able to job at about "80 percent effort."
Heisey landed on the disabled list in late April due to a hamstring strain and aggravated the injury during a rehab assignment last week. His absence is expected to stretch into June.

Reds placed LHP Sean Marshall on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 21, with a sprained left shoulder.
It's the second time this season that the shoulder has sent him to the DL, though the Reds called it tendinitis the first time around. The club figures to take it slowly with Marshall this time, so he could be looking at an extended absence. Manny Parra (pectoral) has been activated and will take Marshall's spot in the bullpen.

Masset had shoulder surgery last September and was shut down in April after experiencing a setback with his throwing program. While he's making progress, he has yet to throw from a mound. There's no clear timetable for his return.
