Wade Miley dazzled the home crowd with a complete-game shutout against the Royals on Saturday night, allowing just five hits and walking no one.
The lefty entered the game having allowed 18 earned runs in 23 innings through his first four starts, but he was brilliant on Saturday night. He didn't allow a Royals batter to reach second base after the third inning, and he retired the last eight batters that he faced. He lowered his ERA to 5.06 on the year. Miley now has two wins in a row and will take that winning streak on the road to Houston for his next scheduled start. May 1 - 1:15 AM
