James Paxton went six strong innings in Saturday's victory over the Blue Jays, allowing just two runs on four hits and three walks.
Paxton racked up four strikeouts on the afternoon, needing just 90 pitches to get through his six frames. After giving up a sacrifice fly to Edwin Encarnacion in the first inning, he was able to keep the Jays offense mostly at bay, save for Chris Colabello's solo blast in the fourth. Now 3-2 on the year, Paxton will head into Thursday's matchup against the Indians with a respectable 3.52 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 41/21 K/BB ratio through 53 2/3 innings on the season. May 23 - 3:36 PM
