Daniel Descalso went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.

There were plenty of offensive stars for the Cards in this one, as they slugged five homers in the first five innings. Matt Holliday, Matt Carpenter, Matt Adams and even Shelby Miller also went deep for the Redbirds. It's not clear if Carpenter will have to scale back his throwing program, but he'll likely need a few more bullpen sessions before the Cardinals think about the possibility of a rehab assignment. "The timetable is to be determined, but the good news is that it's not the shoulder or the elbow," general manager John Mozeliak said. "Hopefully, it's something that won't take too long.
