Juan Nicasio failed to make it out of the fifth inning Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rangers.
Nicasio surrendered two home runs among his seven hits allowed. It was the third time in four starts that he's allowed four earned runs, raising his ERA to 4.79 through nine outings. The good news is he's striking out a batter per inning, but the bad news is that he's also giving up a hit per inning. Nicasio will try to get back on the right track Thursday at the Marlins.
