The slumping Jon Singleton is not expected to start any of the three games against the Mets this weekend.
Singleton is in an 0-for-23 funk that includes 18 strikeouts to push his season line down to .168/.287/.336. He's struck out 133 times in 92 games. The only way Singleton would be used as more than a pinch-hitter is if Chris Carter's nagging back injury acts up. "Very hard, very difficult," Singleton said. "Any time you go out and you’re not successful it’s hard. You have to continue to try to stay positive. When you fail it’s really hard to be positive, but you have to continue to motivate yourself and get up and go do it." Sep 26 - 10:14 AM
