Astros optioned RHP Brad Peacock to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Peacock worked 3 1/3 solid innings of relief on Saturday, surrendering one run on two hits. He was sent out to make room on the roster for the recently acquired Wade LeBlanc who will be activated on Sunday. Peacock should be back with the Astros at some point during the season.

Astros recalled RHP Brad Peacock from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
He'll take the roster spot of Robbie Grossman, who was optioned to the minors after Monday's game. Peacock had a 4.98 ERA and 27 strikeouts over 21 1/3 innings after his demotion to Triple-A earlier this month and figures to pitch in middle relief.

Brad Peacock will be recalled prior to Tuesday's game.
He'll presumably be used out of the bullpen rather than the rotation. Peacock was sent down earlier this month after posting a 9.41 ERA and 19/13 K/BB ratio over 22 innings. He held a 4.98 ERA with 27 strikeouts over 21 2/3 frames at Triple-A.

Astros optioned RHP Brad Peacock to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
He was cleared in order to make room for Dallas Keuchel and Jordan Lyles on the active roster. Peacock was recently moved to the bullpen, but the Astros figure to give him another shot as a starter in the minors. The 24-year-old has a brutal 9.41 ERA and 19/13 K/BB ratio over 22 innings this season.

Paul Clemens left Monday's appearance with a right pinkie injury.
Clemens was struck by a comebacker and appeared to dislocate the finger, but the Astros' trainer popped it back in place and he stayed in to face one more batter. The club reconsidered after that, though, and decided to remove him. Clemens saved the bullpen with 5 1/3 scoreless relief frames after Erik Bedard lasted only 1/3 of an inning.

Astros placed RHP Edgar Gonzalez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 26, with a right shoulder strain.
Gonzalez complained of soreness earlier this week, so he'll now get some extended rest. Josh Fields will replace him in the Astros' bullpen.

Alex White will undergo Tommy John surgery.
White showed diminished velocity this spring and was diagnosed with a strained pitching elbow, but the injury turned out to be worse than that. The young right-hander will obviously miss all of 2013 and might not be ready for the start of 2014.
