Justin Nicolino allowed two runs -- one earned -- over 5 1/3 innings to earn his first win of the season Saturday against the Rockies.
It wasn't pretty, as Nicolino gave up six hits and walked four, rarely working with the basepaths empty, but he made pitches when he had to and limited the damage. He's made seven appearances, including six starts, on the year, going 1-1 with a 4.56 ERA and 1.83 WHIP. Saturday's was his first start since June 28. The southpaw will next face the Mets in New York on Friday. Aug 12 - 11:58 PM
